ok! I need help everyone! My girlfriend's sister and her husband are stuck in NY at Laguardia with no where to stay, and no one to hang with. They had to come from Arizona to the Stanley Theater...
Yeah, since our little discussion a couple weeks back I've discussed this with a number of people in my congregation. None of them thought cities would survive. Also consider what Jehovah did to Sodom and Gomorrah. They were thriving cities of that time. Jehovah destroyed them along with the wicked people. So it would only seem logical that he'd pound NYC, LA, London, Rome, etc. to the ground as he did those cities. Can we honestly say those cities are any more moral than their predecessors? I think not. They are probably worse. And again, what good are cities without businesses? Not much. I think it's safe to say money won't be used in the new system. I think gatherings and recreation we enjoy in congregations today is what we'll continue in the future, not broadway shows or major league baseball games and other entertainment.
i like this because you used things like "i think" and "safe to say" and "would only seem" instead of things like "this is fact"
yay!
I guess a little more tact works well, but in my mind I think it's fact. And it seems most others think the same. We have to remember Lot's wife. She merely looked back on the splendor of a city and died. It's a good lesson for each of us. Would looking back on NYC at Armageddon, be a life and death situation for any of us? Personally, I'd rather see NYC become a tropical island than have mile high buildings. LOL!
lol
