ok so i have a friend who's from NJ but visiting from switzerland where he lives now, we've supposed to hang out but i'm not sure what to do. Also he's 7. what would be some good activities? i think discovery zone has closed.

Liberty science center is cool, if you want to go out there. Also the brooklyn children's museum is fun.

Bronx Zoo? It's a little hot for that, though. Ice skating rink still open at the four story mall in Nyack? That might be cool, and I think kids like that there are rides inside the mall there.
I'm trying to think of cool things but man...everything they have there is 10x cooler than here.
Water park?
When Ben's niece and nephew were here we went to one of those pottery painting places (where you paint a piece of pottery and then they fire it for you) which they thought was the best thing ever.
actually the pottery thing was exactly lauren's idea. we may end up doing that. there's one in Ridgewood.
