SUCH a good convention! it's weird how quick it goes.there were 36 people baptized and FIVE were from our hall! red lion represented! haha
oh, this was funny. after the convention on sunday, me and austin were vacuuming and this bro. comes up to me and just randomly asked if i was from NY and do i know how to get back to NJ. So i told him the way i go, and i asked him why he just randomly asked me if i'm from NY and he said cuz i have that "look". i took it as a compliment. haha now that i'm in PA, i'm happy people still know my roots. lol
We had our convention this weekend too! I really liked the part when they gave really pointed counsel about not talking to disfellowshipped ones, even if they're part of your extended family. I've noticed lots of friends don't take that counsel too seriously, and hopefully that part will help. Some people don't even take it seriously when friends are reproved, and it's all discipline from Jehovah, so I'm glad that part brought that out.
What was your attendance? Ours was only like 1100-1500 - I guess because it was at the assembly hall they wanted to keep it small.
really? we had like close to 4000! at jersey city, it was tight but i liked it, saw a lot of people.
and i agree with you completely. when i turned 18 i made a decision to not talk to my dad, b.c i didnt live with him. i got a lot of slack for that, but that was my decision...and 6 months later he was reinstated (he had been df'd for like 6 years before that). now im not saying the reinstatement had to do completely with me not talking to him, but im sure it played a big role.
I love the interviews because it gives you real experiances, ya know, but we had some WEIRD ones. Kam, remember that girl that decided not to sing in the winter concert but thought it was okay to flip the pages of the piano player's music book? hahahha, so weird! She was like, "when i found out it was being televised, i realized that wasn't such a good idea". lol!
yeah. pretty weird.
thats awesome! i loved it too, we should compare notes.
and how did he know you were from ny? were you like giving the finger to people as you were vaccuuming......thats not following the christ!
ummmmmm apparently you didn't read my post...he said i have the NY look haha. I assumed him meant i was prettier then all the PA girls. hahaha jk! but cuz, i have dark hair/skin/italian. A lot of people are blonde/light skinned around here.
I enjoyed the convention, but .. I'm sorry but I really hate Reading, PA, it's just awful. I expected this cute little Pennsylvania town.. and instead it was just gross.
really? did you drive down Penn Ave? they have all these awesome cute shops and restaurants, all like, independently owned. We went to this restaurant called 3rd & Spruce, coincidentally enough ON 3rd & Spruce, haha and it was great and in a super cute, trendy area.
yeah we walked down Penn Avenue the first day.. we parked like allll the way down on i think 2nd or 3rd and walked down to the convention and it was just gross to me. Maybe I didn't give it a full chance haha. It's possible.
HA!!! what did i tell you. reading sucks big time.
you are the second most annoying person on redsweater.
I'm guessing that I am #1. Haha...
ding ding ding, what do we have for him johnny?
You women on here are nuts. haha
well at least im not the second ugliest person on redsweater. actually, you're def number 1 in that category, tesoro.
theeeeen, i'm guessing you like men. man lover.
i dont know how you drew that conclusion. buuuuuut it doesn't change the fact that you're an ugo.

thats all i have to say.
exactly...look how sexy i am there. and that was like 3 years ago.
Yeah, I mean cmon... If he had hairy feet, he'd be a hobbit.
