We made bacon cheeseburgers last night. I love tons of fresh veggies on my burger, lettuce, tomato, pickle, red onion. I got the meat freshly ground at the butcher. I like doing that, cuz then you know it's from one piece of meat, you're ground meat isn't "mystery meat".
I made potato skins to go with em. They are really easy. Preheat your vegetable oil to about 375. While that is heating, cut your potatos in half, and take a spoon and hollow them out a bit, just so you have a nice little boat. Fry them for about 20 mins, til they're fork tender. Load em up w/ chedder cheese, crumbled bacon and chives, top with a little sour cream.
*I hate how you can't edit you comments. it's your, not you're.
btw, i love grilling season, cuz Austin is in charge of the grill, so i have more time for side items.
that's the other thing, why would any body want "tons of veggies" on their burger. it's not a salad! it's a BURGER!
you like your burger totally plain? why wouldnt you just eat a steak then. it's not like ground beef is so delicate or expensive that you wouldnt want to jazz it up.
