i would never have thought but these frozen burgers are awesome. you have to grill them frozen, because if you let them thaw they will fall apart (because the the fat content is so high).

it's tough to find a really good burger. most people have no idea what they are doing when they are attempting to make one. i even went to an in n' out burger in arizona, and i was pretty disappointed.

but these bubba burgers are excellent, and this place called the circle grill in netcong, nj makes really, really good burgers and shakes. and fuddruckers is awesome as well ( except they make their chocolate shakes too chocolaty).

what is your fav. place to get a burger?

White Castle is gross

fivezero fivezeroOG 2003 ·

I agree. I go there like twice a year, just to remind myself why I don't go more regularly.

monsterEst. 2006 ·

Yeah.. Mikey took me last year, to have the 'experience'!... but again i must agree, it isn't really, well.. food.

thefunkyfresh thefunkyfreshFounder ·

i think i've only eaten there once or twice in my life. but i'm going to do it once when it opens just for the pure gluttony of it all

fivezero fivezeroOG 2003 ·

there is a gluttony vibe... your mind is like "these burgers are tiny, i can eat 10!" so you're with your friends and you order a crave case or whatever and eat like 5 and then throw the rest away.

g.f.s.rocks g.f.s.rocksOG 2001 ·

Would Angela approve of this?

thefunkyfresh thefunkyfreshFounder ·

i actually went with lex yesterday. we ate 5 burgers each, we were disgusted with ourselves as we were ordering, and even more disgusted when we were done. everyone in the place was either ungodly fat or ungodly smelly. i actually seriously considered making myself throw up when i got home. NEVER AGAIN!!!

and yeah, angela was pretty disgusted at me too

the other day i didnt really sleep at all the night before, so i just woke up not feeling that great either, puking all morning, and by 8 or so at night i felt pretty good, so i got a Carls JR burger... it was huge and had like a bazzillion calories.. but i figured, i burned calories throwing up and running to the bathroom PLUS i didnt eat all day... therefore, it was a healthy meal.

u need to adopt my philosophy.

brothermanOG 2004 ·

Gotta stop all that crack smoking that you do. hahaha...

is your philosophy binging and purging?

alexOG 2001 ·

the other thing about burgers that most people don't realize is that really lean meat is not good for a burger. i like to use like 85% percent lean for my burgers. the higher fat content makes it more tender, and juicy.

We made bacon cheeseburgers last night. I love tons of fresh veggies on my burger, lettuce, tomato, pickle, red onion. I got the meat freshly ground at the butcher. I like doing that, cuz then you know it's from one piece of meat, you're ground meat isn't "mystery meat".

I made potato skins to go with em. They are really easy. Preheat your vegetable oil to about 375. While that is heating, cut your potatos in half, and take a spoon and hollow them out a bit, just so you have a nice little boat. Fry them for about 20 mins, til they're fork tender. Load em up w/ chedder cheese, crumbled bacon and chives, top with a little sour cream.

*I hate how you can't edit you comments. it's your, not you're.

btw, i love grilling season, cuz Austin is in charge of the grill, so i have more time for side items.

alexOG 2001 ·

that's the other thing, why would any body want "tons of veggies" on their burger. it's not a salad! it's a BURGER!

tesoro tesoroOG 2001 ·

you like your burger totally plain? why wouldnt you just eat a steak then. it's not like ground beef is so delicate or expensive that you wouldnt want to jazz it up.

A
alexOG 2001 ·

no i put ketchup on it. sometimes i like cheddar cheese and/or bacon.

A
alexOG 2001 ·

i would almost always take a steak over a burger.

jp jpOG 2003 ·

i love a whole meal in a burger. ketchup, lettuce, tomato, onion, cheese, maybe an onion ring...so good!

jp jpOG 2003 ·

oh, bacon too.

A
alexOG 2001 ·

okay, let's get something straight...veggie burgers are not burgers. if it aint beef, it aint nothin'. aheeet?

BOoo don't be bitter cause you miss your curls :-P

I'm making burgers tonight. I get this fantastic beef from a local farmers market - it's so tender. I just mix it with italian breadcrumbs and I think it's amazing.

originalsnob originalsnobOG 2004 ·

This just sounded funny "Bubba Burgers" are they a southern chain?

malibu malibuOG 2001 ·

anyone ever seen the bobby flay challenge with burgers? that woman m ade amazing burgers that were not traditional. i want her to cook for me. one was like portugese with pineapple. and the other was a greek one made iwth ground lamb and dill, yogurt. it looked so good.

tesoro tesoroOG 2001 ·

i think i'm going to make burgers for dinner tonight.

i'm not a big fan of putting onions and stuff in my burgers, to me then it tastes like a meatball. and i don't want a meatball, i want a burger.

also, perdue frozen turkey burgers are rockin.
As are BOCA Burgers. (Veggie burgers) i love them.

originalsnob originalsnobOG 2004 ·

I'm into Garden burgers they're as good as BOCA but w/ more variety.
Tried em?

forrestina forrestinaOG 2002 ·

forrestina forrestinaOG 2002 ·

forrestina forrestinaOG 2002 ·

I hear ya on the too chocolatey (and I LOVE chocolate). If available, I opt for a black and white shake instead of vanilla or chocolate.

socalgal socalgalOG 2003 ·

they had a bubba burger restaurant in kauai... these burgs are way too greasy! they taste ok but they will bind you up like you can't believe.

angela made some delicious ones the other day. she mixes in chopped onions and Worcester sauce in with the ground beef... yum

juicymango juicymangoOG 2003 ·

oh that sounds good - i haven't had a burger in a while but I made these burgers a little while back when we rented a beach house with a bunch of friends and everyone loved them - i mixed in onions and basil and salt and pepper and stuff.. i think more herbs and spices .. and of course topped them with cheese.. cheeseburgers are the way to go ha

H
hipchickOG 2001 ·

thats cause you will love anything with worcester sauce in it... specially on under cooked hot dogs with beans and relish and anything else we could fit on there...

thefunkyfresh thefunkyfreshFounder ·

hahaha... dude that was good stuff!
