Hey, did anyone get that refund paper for purchases made outside the US from 1996 to 2006? If you used a Visa or MasterCard you get back a choice of either $25, or 1% back of total spent overseas. I'm getting paid for traveling, sweet, haha.

Wow, that's a lot. I figured i spent maybe $1000 total (1st cuz a lot of those times i was w/ my parents) and 2nd cuz hotels and plane tix don't count. it's only stuff you bought WHILE you were overseas i think.

yea, on my credit card. We also used travlers checks, and we had paid for the flight & hotels ahead of time. we were only there 17 days. That would be a heck of a lot to spend on souveniers/shopping/meals.
Awesome! I lived for 6 months abroad in 2004 . . man, I should've used that credit card for more things.. I used cash a lot during that time. I'm definitely making a claim, 'cause as if I'm not already angry with Capital One (a story for another day) ... now I'm really angry about the nondisclosure as well.
I didn't get anything in the mail. You did? I guess I'll file a claim online... looks like it can be done. I doubt there's record of my transactions tho... hopefully, the bills are still available from my company.
yea, i got the form sent to me. It said you just have to put your claim in by May 30th.
