babies freak me out. I like toddlers. they can walk and not poop themselves.

brotherman Dec 14, 2007

Really? Last time I checked toddlers wore diapers.

socalgal Dec 14, 2007

toddlers dont wear diapers. lol maybe while they're being toilet trained they wear the pull-ups but thats it.

brotherman Dec 14, 2007

A toddler is a kid that starts walking until approximately 3. I had two of them. ;oP They weren't potty trained until age 3. Neither was in pull-ups (which is a diaper just not tabs) until abou...

i think he means toddler = when they start walking, so, yes, around 1, until about 3 years old and yes i just agreed with brotherman haha

juicymango Dec 14, 2007

but they usually ar not toilet trained until about 3. which is a nightmare, 3 years of diapers... no wayyyyyy haha

socalgal Dec 14, 2007

juicymango Dec 14, 2007

What's the confusion here? LOL!
I said a toddler ranges from the time they first walk, which is usually around 12 months, until age 3. Potty training usually begins at 2, but they don't master the concept usually until age 3. Depends on the kid. I've heard of 2 yr olds being potty trained. That's not very common though.

juicymango juicymangoOG 2003

yeah i think you were both saying the same thing only saying it different ways

basically what i'm saying is that children do not develop any slower or faster on the east coast vs. the west coast i think G just misunderstood what you were saying??

I guess so.

socalgal socalgalOG 2003

tesoro tesoroOG 2001

HAHAHA, TOTALLY. if they're old enough to ask for it.....it's a no go.

ewwww, so gross!

My friend just weaned her baby at 1 year, and at 1 year, her baby was already grabbing at her chest, that's a sure sign it's time to take the boob away.

tesoro tesoroOG 2001

I know this is really strange, but we know a mom who potty trained all 3 of her kids at 6 months. Obviously they can't walk, but a few minutes after feeding them, she would sit them on the toilet, so as soon as they were walking, at 1 year or so, they were sitting on the kiddie potty. weird, but cool huh?

Man, if i could cut out 1.5 years of changing diapers, i might give it a whirl. haha
