Well, i've been working out hardcore for 9 days in a row now. (hardcore for me is 30mins high intensity cardio, 30mins circuit training) and i haven't lost a pound on the scale, which is discouraging, cuz i'm dieting also, and when i just diet and don't excersise i drop weight quicker, but it MUST be the whole muscle thing, right? Cuz pants i just bought two weeks ago are loose on me, woohoo!
yeah i gained 5 pounds, on the scale, since i joined the gym
and i don't think the diet i was doing is working, i think i need to just stop eating altogether
I've been doing weight watchers, which works really well for me. Plus, you get 35 extra points for the week, that you can use if you want, but i haven't been using them to increase the weight loss.
I'm going to the beach in T-minus 40 days, so i'm doing everything i can to lose at least 10 lbs by then.
You will hate me... but I lost close to 15 pounds this past month and wasn't even trying... now Im trying to gain the weight back but without the junk food...
Agh! Men....Austin goes to the gym for like a week after not going for like a year, and already has a 6-pack practically. So irritating!! lol
women are supposed to have so much more body fat because they need it to carry babies. i'd just like to give it back or put it in reserve somewhere with a note that says "yeah i won't be needing this. please keep it off me."
lol
It's not about losing lbs, but about losing fat. If you like how you look in the mirror, that's what counts.
well then no i don't like my muffin top
and yeah my arms are getting buff, even like my abs are getting a little thinner but my actual waist is totally not
and my workouts are an hour or more every time, (weights and cardio) like 5 times a week
the past week, chris and I hiked a 5 mile trail, TWICE
and i've been doing the 2-hour diet type thing, eat something small and nutritius every 2-3 hours. yeah it's not working.
it's supposed to keep your metabolism going. but. apparently. it is also keeping me fat. COOL
i have a really good diet regimen that i use... it involves lots of snacks throughout the day. i posted it in brotherman's workout news story a while back. maybe it would work for you!
*banana twinkies are not as good as they sound
Your workout is similar to the George Burns life-style. Live to 100 while smoking cigars everyday. Us people that go to the gym will probably die of a brain tumor at age 50.
you could be stressing your body out. one trainer told me that sometimes you could be working out TOO much and stress your body out and thats why you're not losing the l-b's.
i really don't think i'm working out too much
it's like an hour, 4 or 5 times a week
not.. you know.. 5 hours, twice a day lol i duno i really just want to give up and be humongous i think
maybe the hour a day is too much. work out a half hour or 45 mins instead of the full hour and see if that works.
"i really just want to give up and be humongous i think"
That's so my plan.
Try mixing the exercises up. Your muscles/body will get used to certain exercises unless you mix it up. That is what I try to do.
yep. i do that.
Then maybe your diet needs to be adjusted more since your body could be used to it, thereby keeping you at a plateau.
yeah, i'm gonna stop eating
Haha... Good idea.
Do you eat late at night? That has negative effects from what I hear.
nope. i do everything "right" heh. And yeah this morning, whooptee doo i gained another 2 pounds, overnight, and i ate LESS yesterday, and i worked out for 45 minutes.
Awesome.
Hmmm... I work out for an hour and a half. I hit the weights hard for an hour then end with cardio. Your heart is already moving at a good rate after the weights, so you're already burning calories off the bat when you finish with cardio. Try that, except you're a girl, use light weight. Or, just don't eat. haha...
yeah i don't usually go above 10 or 15 pound dumbells, i just do more reps to failure, i don't want to bulk up
this makes no sense. i think someone is playing psychological mind games with you. adding weight to your scale and what not. either that or your sleep walking and eating in your sleep.
