so when is the Season Premiere? And did they do what they did last year which was start the season and then take a three month break?

responding to critics and fans the producers of Lost have decided to finish off the series in three seasons of sixteen episodes.

The original idea was to run 16 episodes in 16 weeks. Bad news though... because of the writer's strike it's unlikely we'll get more than 8 episodes this season. so, Lost will air 8 weeks and then it's off the air til the strike is settled. since they have a very finite story to tell, i can't imagine they'd short us 8 of the remaining 48 episodes.

i hope they figure this out.

three seasons left. sixteen episodes per season. the last season is scheduled for 2010. i don't know if the strike will push that date back a bit..
