I have called 14 Gamestops trying to find a Wii. This is ridiculous... How is a huge company like Nintendo not able to produce enough units to fill the demand? The thing has been out for over a year! Increase your production floor already!!!
i worked SOOO hard to get mine. I called Target every day for like two months. When they finally had it, I ran down there before work and ran through the store (like the Toys R Us shopping cart contests back in the day on Nickelodean). It was awesome and fun.
Well that's the crazy thing. What if you call a store, run down there, and then someone else snatched it up? I'd punch a wall. LOL! I don't know why you can't just pre-order one. Seems like you can only get the bundle pack Wii's. But I don't want to spend over $400. I already did for a PS3, but at least it's a Blu-Ray player too.
And what sucks is that I have $100 of Gamestop credit to use. So I wouldn't be using all cash to buy a Wii there.
unlikely, especially if you go early in the morning. or make friends with someone at the Toys R Us, promise them $20 to hold it.
I think the Wii's a good deal at $250, it comes with WiFi built in so that saves buying an adapter for $100 like the XBox. Also, get extra controllers at Overstock, like I did - think I paid $20 or $25 each.
The PS3 controllers are 50 bucks! I bought a cheaper wireless model the other day for 30. Works just as well.
Emily is gonna be mad at me if I don't find a Wii soon. The dumb guy at the Mansfield Gamestop said they were getting shipments today, then the story suddenly changed when I called earlier. I wonder how many of these guys hold them for extra money.
The Onoratos have been stalking Wiis for like 6 months. They've stood on lines more than once to try to get one, and weren't able to.
Lou finally got one the other day at Walmart; but, not before standing on line for 4 hours the previous day waiting for UPS to show up. He gave up and went back around 10 or 11 the next day when UPS was supposed to come in and finally got one. They only received four.
I just don't understand Nintendo's issue with mass producing these things. What is going on?
It's just that demand is extremely high worldwide. They are spreading out their shipments to many many countries, and doing so as fast as they can.
Or, if you believe the conspiracy theorists, they're withholding shipments to keep demand high and make bigger money hats.
My parents are sooooooo excited about getting it! Too bad they're just gonna give it to my nephews.
hahaha really? i couldnt imaging your parents "stalking" video game systems, katie...
