Moving to NYC!
by So, I've taken a new job in the city, and the commute is 2 hours each way. Mikayla and I decided to try living in the city for a while.
We signed a lease on a new apartment in Battery Park City, which is in downtown Manhattan. Address: 70 Battery Pl, New York, NY.
Here's a video tour:
It's in a quieter part of the city, with lots of parks and bike paths. Tourists don't really visit the area, and it gets really really quiet at night.
The apartment is on the first floor in a nice nine-floor building with a doorman, elevators, roof access, a gym, bike storage, laundry on every floor, and a private terrace area with grass that is only accessible to tenants. There are 11 train lines within like a 15 minute walk, which is sweet! My commute to work will be a ten minute walk, and a 14 minute train ride on the R or W. There's also a bus to Union Square right there.

Looks like we'll be in the South Manhattan Congregation, which meets at a Kingdom Hall right by the Brooklyn Bridge. We haven't visited yet, but we're planning on it soon! Definitely curious about the congregation and the territory.
So, we're moving on January 23rd. And if you want to come for a visit, please come any time! Just give us a little notice so we can figure out if we're around. There's an ice-skating rink right nearby for the winter. Let's go ice-skating!

Oh and notice that a sister is doing the mikes. They don't have enough brothers so the sisters have to help. A sister even read the watchtower. and the coolest thing is about 98% of the brothers and sisters here didn't even speak english, but yet we felt like long lost family...love it.

I guess you could look at Bert Malignaggi's brother. I don't know if he was raised around the truth, but now he's a professional boxer fighting on pay per view. I see commericials about him and his next fight. But I don't think it is the norm to be famous. There are more who hit rock bottom after leaving the truth than who become professional athletes or business successes.

Paul actually grew up around the truth, in fact when the boys were younger Paul was the more spiritually inclined one than Bert. I'm having real trouble finding a program to allow me to do want I want to do... I want to edit, splice, mash up video... using Divx files/ mov / and mpeg-1. Windows Movie Maker would be fine if it were just mpeg-1s concerned. But, I have the Divx videos and mov's that I wanna use as well together with the mpeg-1's.
This goal proves extra hard, since I need a free solution. (or as close to free as possible)
I haven't found a solution yet... not even an expensive solution.
I've tried thinking of various things and then searching for such programs.
Different possibilities could be
-a program that does it all (allows you to import all file types, edit within that prog, and export to a format of your choosing)
-Or, a program that just converts Divx and Mov to Mpeg-1 & after the conversion I'll import it all into Windows Movie Maker and begin editing
-Or, a program that converts Mpeg-1 and Mov to Divx that also allows you to edit/cut Divx format and allows you to export to DVD for unrestricted viewing
Hopefully someone has a solution

Really strange it says something about that, because Windows Movie Maker doesn't even show the Divx files when going to choose what file you want to import. Then if you hit the drop down to select "All Files" and then select a Divx file to import it gives this message "The file C:\....\...divx is not a supported file type, and it cannot be imported into Windows Movie Maker."
do you have the full divx codec installed?
No idea. How do I find out? I can definately watch the Divx movies. But Windows Movie Maker says it's a file type that can't be imported.

I dunno, I just tried to import a divx file in Movie Maker in Vista, and it worked fine. But who knows, maybe it's different in Vista.

According to TMZ.com, Ledger, 28, was found dead in his bed in one of his residences in Soho by his housekeeper at 3:35 p.m. ET Tuesday.

Actually I just read an article where Ledger was quoted in November as saying his role as the Joker had taxed him so much that he was only sleeping two hours a night or something to that affect. So it sounds like he may have accidentally killed himself with sleeping pills. I guess we won't know unless the toxicology report says he swallowed half the bottle at once. Then that is pretty apparent he killed himself intentionally. Either way its a shame. He had a two year old daughter. And people who saw him with her painted him as a wonderful father.

Well, ones that commit suicide normally do it because they're depressed (& I tend to think Ledger's was accidental death but while we're on the subject about suicide... suicidal people aren't anarchists usually.. it's called depression & not being able to cope with his or her mental state so how are they not 'good'... none of us are good. only God is good.)
Well if he was depressed so be it, but sounds like he had everything going for him with no signs of a mental breakdown. So I tend to think he made stupid decisions and used drugs recreationally. His breakup with Michelle Williams was allegedly over his drug use.
i think being an actor alone causes mental breakdowns. you lose sense of "self" ya know. i have a friend who no longer is an actor (hes a director now) because of that reason. he told me that you become so engrossed in your character that you forget who you really are as a normal human being and you doubt and question yourself in everything.

plenty of times people who commit suicide have "a lot going for them" to the outside

I have a family member who is clinically depressed. You KNOW when living with someone that they are depressed. It shows up in all aspects of their life. Now, an outsider would not necessarily know, because the person could put up a fake front to hide it. I'm sure his wife was aware.
