How many miles do you drive each week/year for work? 4 miles each way, 8 miles/day = 40 miles/week = 2,000/year - however, my wife and i work together so we carpool. it's much less
Does your company reimburse you for your mileage or provide you with a company car? My last job was more outside sales, so I got $200.00/month reimbursement, flat rate. This job I get reimbursed by the mile (I think it's .50/mile now)
Do you think it is/would be worth it for your employer to provide you with a company car? Like, as a bonus for being a person who works in an office? Sure, I'd take a Porsche GT2.
If you were to request a company car, how would you go about justifying the cost to your employer? If you already have one, how do you think they justify the cost?
I'd tell them I get paid too little, so paying my car payment would make up the difference. ESPECIALLY if I got a gas card with it.
When we lived overseas for my dad's job, they gave us a family company car with Unlimited gas card. Man, did we abuse that. Greatest. Thing. Ever.
