LOL oh yeah, i forgot you dont live close to the water. YES!!! check the ones near the beach. they'll have a store that sells them there. sorry bout the confusion.
thanks! im going board shopping soon. i'd like the flyer, it seems like a nice board for my purposes. Probably around a 6'8" or so (I'm 6'3") and currently i ride a 6'2" that is too small for me now and has been for a few years. So if anyone out there is looking for an affordable shortboard, let me know :) i almost bought a new one last summer on sale, i just didnt wanna shell out the dough. This summer i plan to surf more than I have the last two years, so I'm thinking its high time to get a new board...
go anything over a 7'. go long board. if you want to do tricks go shorter than what you have. but to just soul-surf...go 7'+
i've got a longboard already. so ive got that covered. its an amazing board. it feels like im driving a cadillac when i ride that baby. sooooo smooth. i figured it was just the fact that longboards are supposed to be smooth, but after riding other longboards and not enjoying them as much, i realized how nice mine is. ill never give that one up.
my first board was a 7'4", and i loved that board too. Very mobile, easy to catch waves and stay in them. when i was about 15, it blew off the roofracks on our old VW van into the chesapeake bay, and was never seen again. i've always thought i wanted one about that size again, but i figured a 6'8-6'10 would provide a nice merger between ride and maneuverability.
