so guess who's having the worst week ever???
Lauren.
I cracked the window in our bedroom - we have an air conditioner in there, so we can't open the window, but I slid back the mount that holds it in, to get some air. Yesterday morning, our cat wormed his way through it and got out, and jumped down to the ground and got away (we live on the 2nd floor).
Lauren's been crying ever since, and we have both looked over so much of our complex. I started searching at 7:15AM yesterday (when we realized he was missing) - went to work at 9:30 (late), got home at 5, looked until 6:30, ate in 5 mins, went back out and looked until 8 when I went to buy flashlights, and looked until 9:30 - then I went out at 10 just to have another look. Then I got up at 5:30AM and looked until 6:45. No sign of this cat. Lauren made flyers, went to the animal shelter, I called all the vets in the area. No one's seen anything. All the neighborhood strays know me now though, they walk right up to me.
And ... yes, I'm in the doghouse.
you sure he's not in some closet sleeping among shoes or anything? My cat used to do that all the time. :( sorry to hear this :(
cats find their way back home. my friends cat was missing for a week and one morning (a week after it got out), bam, there it was on the porch taking a nap. and she lives in vegas where there are coyotes all around....im sure the cat will show up soon!!!
that would be great. thank you. i don't care when he comes back, as long as it's soon.
My dad and I have noticed a lot of coyote poop in the woods while we've been hunting this week. We've also noticed a lack of turkeys. So we're assuming the coyotes are cutting down their numbers. I'm sure a cat would be very tempting. Hope you find it before they do.
that is NOT encouraging.
Sorry. I'm a meany I guess.
there's a good chance this cat was promiscuous and has contracted FIV.
Oh gosh, i'm sorry to hear this. :( this happend to us like 2 years ago. We were looking everywhere. I started going house to house asking people if they saw her. And it turns out one of my neighbors had taken her in overnight because it was like in January. I had her vet's id tag on her, but after that i put our home address on her tag, and got her micro-chipped.
I'm sure your kitty will find her way back home. Remember the movie homeward bound?? They found their way home! :)
what about the part where the dogs were talking and stuff? if they were so smart they would have gotten on the horn and called a cab.
i gotta admit, it feels strange, but we've actually been praying for Target's return!
