i just called and left a message for the people. trust me, whatever happens will be truly embarrassing, but not for myself. also, $100 is a small price to pay for this.

it's my brother-in-law Ben's night out before he gets married. he's not 21 yet (hence the long story) and it's a surprise (it's hard to find ways to surprise a 20 year old) and this is my chance to truly get him back for falling asleep during my wedding talk.
