Question for yay..
Still using Buzz these days?
I started using it again.
Have you ever used it in a 'live' sense?
I need to correct the latency.
My laptop is running Vista
And I'm running Buzz, to basically take advantage of the Midi
I have a Keyboard connected to my computer via a Midi-to-USB
And this way I can trigger VSTs, etc etc, among other things
And my Keyboard synth becomes virtually anything I wish it to be
Problem is latency..
The sound output is delayed.
After a lot of hours reading forums, etc... about the known problem with Vista's audio latency... I came across ASIO4ALL.
I wanted to ask you if you know whether it's gonna work or not.
I might try it tomorrow, so I can get some much needed sleep.
But, have any experience fixing latency for a similar or exact setup?
Again, the particulars:
Vista
RealTek High Def Audio Sound Card
Keyboard connected (MIDI OUT) to laptop via M-Audio Uno USB adapter
Buzz (MIDI IN)
3 GB RAM (stupid audio latency & Vista... I have 3 Gig!)
I'd post in a forum but figured you'd see it here first.
I downloaded ASIO4ALL but haven't installed yet.
Have you used it yourself? And does it work in this type of scenario?
zzzzzzzzzzzz.........
