what about the word uncanny. like, the resemblance between maggie gylenhal and that pile of dog poo is uncanny. but nothing is ever just canny. whats up with that?

yeah, true. americans never use the word canny. unless perhaps we're referring to a woman with large breasts. ok, i made that up.
