first off, i was born in November of 79, so although i don't remember much of the 80's, if Poison was cool I would have remembered them. that dude wears more eye makeup than any man should, which automatically makes him lame. also, he apparently only want to fall in love with a girl that looks like a cheap hooker. who is forced to work the daytime shift at hooters.
How do you not remember much of the 80's? I was born in September of 79 and can remember seeing ET at a drive-in theater.

i remember being terrified of this movie when i was younger. 100% terrified. That included it being released on video when i was in 4th grade.

i know i'm late to this convo but i've had this discussion with todd before e.t. is the one movie that i'm still scared to death of. i hate it and every part of it creeps me out. i think it's where i began with my the governemnt is always trying to cover things up paranoia.

i'll agree. e.t never filled me with sentimental child-like wonder. even when i was a sentimental child. it was just plain creepy. and to this day, i don't enjoy that movie and don't care to watch it.
i also felt that et was completely creepy and scary. to this day he freaks me out. those long creepy fingers!!

Doing well, thanks. ('cept, got laid off from job 2 week ago, because we've done a lot with the project and there was budget cuts like at every company now...otherwise, alright. Had the opportunity to take a fulltime position with Bloomberg in the City which is strange, since I got laid-off working there, but it required weekend availability, so I turned it down. Also another position there came up at 1 of the NJ locations, but it was only a 3-week job 40 miles away with tolls and not enough money. So, still searching for work.) Also, I've been considering more and more lately, joining a foreign lang. Cong. So we'll see. Meanwhile, really loving NYC.

Annnyway,
I was working on a News Search Enhancement project for Bloomberg (My title was Web Content Analyst)...we were basically building news feed syndications for the Bloomberg NewsWire. The job I was gonna be put forward for at their Manhattan location, but turned down due to scheduling conflict, was Global Customer Support.
Still out of work, so if anyone can help me get work, I would be very grateful indeed. Job searching is extremely draining to say the least.
