OK, here's my suggestions: as beachbum said, 1984 is good, I also liked A Clockwork Orange a lot, and then Brave New Wold was interesting. If you've read a little Vonnegut, I suggest reading everything he's written. I especially liked "Breakfast of Champions", "Slaughterhouse 5"(or Schlachthaus-fünf) , "Cat's Cradle" and of course the truly great "Mother Night". but save "Mother Night" for later on, don't read it first.
Clockwork Orange's first 50 pages scared the crap out of me, so I stopped reading it. I loved 1984, and Brave New World was pretty good. I LOVE Vonnegut. I've read all of your suggestions except "Mother Night". I'll try that one. Thanks!
I think Brave New World, A Clokwork Orange, and 1984 are like my top three favorite books. 1984..there's just something so chilling-to-the-bone about it and it's so amazing. And A Brave New World..especially considering when it was written..is just pure genius.
i usedto liek thse kinds of books. 1984 is especially good, and long. i guess now i like more travel writing, but that's not ficton of course...
I don't understand what you are saying. You like raves?
