My daughter Rae LOVES AFI but personally i think they are abit too metal for me.
They're not metal though.

Well..they were originally punk-rock if you look at their first album. They've slowly changed into what some label as "goth rock" but since no one really knows what that is they're just their own little AFI-brand of music..but Jade (the bassist) says they're pretty much still punk-rock at heart.
