I love poetry too. I've read thousands of poems and really try to absorb what the poems mean. Some poetry (like any art) is junk. But there is some really great stuff out there. My favorite poets are most of the masters (like Robert Frost, Emily Dickenson, Poe, Lord Byron, Oscar Wilde, of course Shakespeare). I read some obscure poetry too, but I can never remember title's or names. I like Ginsberg too. The Beatniks were the real hippies. Much respects to hippies, but the Beatniks did that antiestablishment, outside the box, a-little-off-the-beaten-path thing first, and they come across a little more sincere and inspired.
Sooooo, if I had to pick one poem I really adore, its "Death of the Hired of the Man" by Robert Frost. Melancholy, but wonderful.
