Um, nooo. You definitely don't sound like you're imitating them. The theme of his poem is just the same: She's [I assume its a guy talking to a girl] so busy trying to create a false persona , instead of being herself, she's turned herself into someone that's going down fast. But the reason is probably b/c she doesn't like herself, so the solution is pause for the cause and be yourself for once. That person is a lot more likeable.

More or less that's what I got out of it. But since I can't read the poem and write this at the same time, there may be some elements I've forgotten. Look up the lyrics to the other songs...even if you don't like the bands, you might appreciate the lyrics.
