so i was reading the paper today and heard some more about another place that i love. my home country of puerto rico. and there is a bay on the south side of the country that glows in the dark!...

it's called Phosphorescent Bay near Parguera (that's a fishing villiage in the extremem southwestern part of Puerto rico in the municipality of lajas) it looks the best if there on a moonless or very cloudy night.

it's so crazy!! our friend was born in puerto rico so yesterday i asked him about it and he said they used to jump in the water and then play hide and go seek and tag. the water clining to them continues to glow an eerie green so you just see these green forms running around in the dark ahead of you while you chase them. sounds so stinking cool!!!!!!!! i wanna go!!

shut it. i asked one of my friends about this (ok, i'm not going to pretend - you all know who i asked), and it sounds like an AWESOME place to go....but can a camera really capture this??

According to this page, it appears to be caused be trillions of microscopic organisms that glow when agitated. (Google is a wonderful thing.)

i saw that on E's Wild On. it was pretty cool. my mom lived in puerto rico for years and i was born there and i never even heard it before seeing on TV.
