Dan, I have been feeling the same way. I think some ppl might take me more seriously if I had a grown up car. My Dentist parks his newest Acura next to my lil blue (not to mention old) VW that has ...

Yeah. see. exactly my point (THANK YOU FOR UNDERSTANDING.)

my current car is ok...but not good. getting a new car IS difficult. down payments, interest rates, insurance transitioning, paying tax, etc. so annoying. every time i think about getting a brand new car...i think...5 years of payments...and at the end, i'm paying the same $350/month for a 5 year old car...WHYYYYYYY...i don't get that. stupid.

i am also not a good saver.

anyway, i'm thinking about...

Nissan Altima (thanks, bryan)
Mazda 626 (not too old - this car is suprisingly not expensive)
Hyndai Sante Fe (do not laugh - this sport utility has a V6 and gets 26 MPG)
Nissan Pathfinder (it's a little out of my reach, and bigger than i need, but DEFINITELY a "i am an adult i can put 4 car seats in the back" truck)
