I heart NY
(First, I have to give malibu credit because she made me think of this...and i after i read her thread I just HAD to write this)
I've been to a lot of different cities: (Los angeles, san francisco, san diego, orlando, charlotte, raleigh, boston, london, paris...and a whole bunch of smaller ones)
...BUT, the conclusion i've come to is that New York is the ideal city for me. Maybe it's just because I grew up visiting it every month, but it seems just perfect. It has so much culture, such a great variety of people...there are endless things to do, endless places to go.
It just really makes me happy being there...i love to see bussiness men running to catch a train, i love to hear the taxi's beep, the smell of pretzels in a vendor, the foreigners with their video cameras, i love the skyscrapers, the new york accent, the subways even though they make no sense, i love how there is a starbucks on every corner and a cell phone in every hand, i love china town, little italy, south street, irving plaza, broadway and times square. I love the museams and theaters. I love the street vendors and the huge department stores. I could go on and on...but the fact is, I really, really "heart" NY.

i've always wanted to go to boston
YO, those crunchy caramel coated nuts are AWESOME..I don't think you can get them from any place other than NY...but, hey, you like NY more than Paris & London?!?!....man...that says a lot a i guess
well, don't get me wrong...i loved both of them...but there is just something really special about ny
NY is definately interesting.. during the day it's just a big open mall with a huge park right in the middle for good times... little boat rowing ..etc..
Otherwise night time is where the action is...
Anyway there's something about london thats pretty hott too. You see some very very interesting people in london they are more... OPEN.. then new yorkers are I think. ANyway the nights i spent in london where extremellly fascinating
I love it too...all the things you said EXCEPT for the smell of the pretzels in the vendors...they always smell burnt and nasty. It makes me sick. Everything else can stay...but the burnt pretzels have GOT TO GO
roasted nuts smell much mo betta
i love nuts!
woah, woah, woah, lets keep it PG here
i was waiting for you to make that comment
haha, you expected it from me? yes, one step closer to going on the perv list
Your already there... V.I.P very important perv
i love that fact that you can walk around without a purpose and have a great time.
i love that too. whenever we go we just walk aimlessly and we end up someplace different each and every time. i just hate when theres so many people that we don't have a choice but to go to Dallas BBQ. ugh!
wow, too many people that we can't decide where to eat... that never happens to me or any other ezabel people when they get together after manhunt on october 25th 2003.
im telling you we should've just gone to the sports bar...it's all about tin alley grill
haha im so over that place. i like the little holes in the wall. cram like 15 of your friends in there and eat family style.
i passionately hate dallas bbq's
i figured you kids would like it since they don't card!
and they have those huge drinks that are all pretty and stuff
yea, i agree..i dont like BBQ's, i think it's just cuz we've been there SOO many darn times..the only good thing is their texas size drinks!
but
i love NY..i really really do..traffic is my biggest dislike.
i love being there so many times and still basically not know where i'm going..haha..and relying on people from PA to help me. ;)
i went to BBQ's qith these brother's who were really passionate about the place. the food was alright, i did't really know what to order. and one of the brothers with us had had a few too many shots and was a little giddy, and when my glass fell off into my bowl he made a joke of it allll night long and even to the next day. everytime he thought about it he busted up laughing. he was still giddy when we got back to where the hotel shuttle was gonna pick us up, laughing about my glasses and riding around on the wheelchairs that wer esitting around there. Anyway, yea...BBQ's was nice, it was my first time on the subway goin there (or was it the real subway, or the PATH train?), and i got to go around the city at nite, almost got hit by a taxi. it was good.
that's the difference between LA and NYC. LA is so big butthere is NOTHING to do unlesu go far. Well, there is very little to do. Most of LA is suburbs, so mostly we just go to other peopl houses or to the beach, which is alright. I'venever really ealked around dowtown, it's alright down there, just small. And Hollywood is small too. The thing about NYC is that it's has so much stuff and it'sso HUGE. I'vve really only been once or twice and rally didnt have th opportunity to seethat much, but even just driving around and lookin around i loved it. And when i saw central park for the first time, I loved it! There is no place in LA like that. If you want to see nature in LA, yp=ou'd have tyo gou up into the mountains. And, well, those are on fire right now...
what's your take on venice beach?
i dont like it. very interestin, but onl;y because it's full of potheads & weirdos. mary jane beach is what it's really called.
hmm, i never heard it called that...yeah, that place is wacky...you can get your hair spun there though....that's cool...and they have some other cool stuff you can buy
adan dont diss the beach... i love venice beach i worked near there my friends worked on the board walk and yes now she is a weed smoking tattoo artist that has a brooklyn/jamaican accent which is weird cuz she was born in alaska... doesnt mean anything venice is a place where you go and you can just laugh out loud and no one thinks your crazy... and you can get shoes cheap and they are really cute if you like 6 inch leather heels :-P and whips....
i heart everything but lincoln tunnel traffic.
the fashion place...with the sun dresses...in the summer...WOAH
i dig the ferry ride from NJ to the Jacob Javitz
i even like rollerblading in central park
but mostly...i just love
a good gyro.
yeah, you're right...traffic is a major part of ny...and it's not cool...but everything else is
