I HATE abbreviations.
Like, ever since I can remember, when taking notes at the meetings/conventions/assemblies I ALWAYS write out the full scripture like you know 2 Corinthians 1:10 ... I CANNOT abbreviate it to 2 Cor. 1:10
I simply can't do it
I also hate abbreviating weekdays like Thurs. etc. etc.
Text messaging for me takes like 8 messages to get one sentence through because i HATE abbreviating...
haha also I hate mispellings and grammar mistakes. I know I make them sometimes but I hate them - spelling mistakes especially. A lot.
So text nessaging something like "hey u wut r u doin? how r u? c ya l8r" is like REALLY REALLY hard for me to do .

I HAVE to abbreviate esp when taking notes. my hand would fall off if it tried writing everything out. and typing, well i guess i'm just lazy. i prefer to think of abbreviating as efficiency. but i don't like the "u" "r" "l8ter" stupid abbreviations. they are just obnoxious. cutting off words for the sake of brevity is one thing. typing like you are retarded is not ok
Yeah I pretty much feel the same way. I too can't bring myself to even use "u" or "r" when typing they both just bug me.
I already have a strange writing style, i'm left handed.
i don't abbreviates when i'm writing notes, letters, etc. i don't like to abbreviate. BUT Im ok abbreviating when i'm typing or texting. That doesn't bother me. my brain goes like a million miles a minute and my fingers have to keep up and by then ADD kicks in so i lose interest....whats the point again? hahaha
hey, i do that too! Whenever i write at the conventions, its impossible for me to abbreviate...weekdays too, and texting! but it doesnt really bother me when other people do it...except in texting/iming
umm, yeah....you all know i hate grammar and spelling mistakes, so uh...yeah...*grammar nazi*
but you can fit more words into a text if you abbreviate!..that's why i do it
I write on an angle. Like, I can't have the paper straight infront of me it needs to be on the side at an angle for me to be comfortable.
i like abbreviations and contractions but that "u wut r c" stuff drives me batty. i use the following on the regular:
ppl = people
bc = because
nm = nevermind or not much depending on context
plmk = please let me know
JH = Jehovah
JC = Jesus Christ
HS = Holy Spirit
GW = God's Word
DT = Divine Teaching
and so on
oh man this stuff is making me nuts haha
OH! the one abbreviation that i do use all the time, is "cos" for because. It's weird, it's like, the only one.
I say "like" WAY too much, and I want to stop.
just typing that example out alone was like, excruciating for me.
