What do you absolutely HAVE to have in your fridge
I duno how many of you do your own foodshopping.. but speaking from many years of experience there are certain things that I get EVERY time I go. What do you have to have every week?
I always have to have
TONS of Eggs
Ketchup and Mayo
Milk (or soy milk woohoo)
heavy cream
cottage cheese singles
tons of lettuce, tomatoes and onions
mushrooms
at least 2 varieties of cheese. This week we have Monterey Jack and a Cheese-n-Pepperoni type cheese that is delicious.
and I buy more Chicken of the Sea than Jessica Simpson could even imagine exists.
and in the freezer
frozen veggies
frozen strawberries,blueberries and rasperries
some kind of meat for dinners for the week, preferrably shrimp and other seafood.
OK I'm adding non-fridge items
PEANUT BUTTER especially the natural kind you have to stir
Olive Oil
Red Wine Vinegar
canned beans, diced tomatoes with jalapenos, and chili spices, (and ground beef in the freezeria) because I LOVE making and eating chili
i'm hungry now
I love food

my fridge needs shelves, otherwise things just don't work out nicely
There were these sliced square pizzas in elementary school (like Ellio's).
I used to HATE these, I thought they were disgusting. Now, Tofutti makes their own brand, and I LUV THEM!
ew
be nice to me
tofu pizza??? where do you get those?
I bought mine from this fancy pants Shop-Rite. It's this HUGE primarily Kosher market.

this is weird, because i made this thread like just a little over a year ago and my tastes have pretty much completely changed
ok maybe not completely but some things on my original list I just never buy ever anymore. it's been days.. maybe weeks since i've had any milk. Months since i've bought soy milk. I don't reallly like chilli anymore. I eat Shiitake mushrooms every day. Cheez.. meh. Heavy Cream?? WHAT?? no. Frozen fruit - gotta start makin those smoothies again, it's been months.
Eggs. I can eat em every day.
Hmm, when I lived alone, I had the luxury of knowing that when I opened the fridge there would be all my favorite foods. Now that I've got the husband appendage, we have to always have:
Milk
Cheese
Lunchmeat
Potato bread (eww!)
Sweet Peppers
Mayo
Pepperoni
Yogurt (he took over an entire vegetable drawer!)
While I don't think all of these foods are disgusting, I would never buy them under normal circumstances.
sooo good huge chunks of PURE chocolate and huge black cherries enveloped in a yummy non-dairy frozen dessert. It is totally indistinguishable from dairy=Taste JUST like normal ice cream...If you've known me long enough I'll eventually coerce you into trying it.
Once I have AT LEAST these few items I am a fat happy baby
I don't own a fridgerator
that's right, I labled my own comment stupid
This little two comment self-interaction here is very funny.
it is really too bad that comments can't carry two colored labels
he's hurtin' for points.
i love it when people interact with themselves
chocolate milk, the kinda you buy in a gallon... WHY? cause its THAT FREAKIN GOOD!
amen brother, amen
i always feel bad buying that, lol!
mike, this is clearly just pure laziness. you can't mix them together yourself???? what is wrong with you?
i'm saying! thats why it's embarrassing to buy a galon of chocolate milk. it's just...excess! it's like buying an already fried egg!
Thats poppycock. You can't buy an already fried egg unless you are in a restaurant. Our society is all about excess and convienience you who buys socks like no other.
HEY! socks are one thing. but copious amounts of MILK mixed with chocolate. making a glass of chocolate milk should be a treat. it shouldn't be as easy as pouring water into a glass.
it TASTES better than the stuff you mix together...
since i'm a baller id' have to say Cristal'
It feels very wrong not to have orange juice in my fridge..and I Can't Believe It's Not Butter Spray!
you don't realize what you need until you don't have it. hot sauce and ranch dressing. coulda used some of that. also orange juice.

ewwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww, the veggie burgers are so stinkin' nasty....ewwwwwwwwwwwwww...they have grill marks on them for decoratoin.....eww, sick
speaking of which do the vegetarians/vegans on ezabel know that they serve boca burgers at Bennigans? you can replace any meat burger with a boca!
vegetarians do not exist. just like the mafia doesn't exist.
oh courtney...we need to have a talk.
it doesn't involve birds or bees, does it?
not this time, my dear.
this is so funny, this is from a year and a half ago, and it's like exactly the same as to whats in my fridge now. the few differences are

PS: i got a turkey from UPS aside from a bonus and i have yet to make it and eat it. i really want to. imagine: me--making a turkey. so cool.

i like some natural peanut butter too...
OOOH the kind you have to stir??? I love it. I love it when the only ingredients are "Peanuts, Salt". No fake stuff. But that doesn't go in the fridge.. so I didn't put it down. Haha.
