Music Sharing Crackdown?

thefunkyfresh by thefunkyfreshFounder · Sep 9, 2003 · 276 views

Does anybody have any information on who is being targeted in the latest lawsuits and what people can do to avoid prosecution? Also, does anybody have info on which (if any) music filesharing is legal and how to do it?

its actually pretty funny, cause they are targeting "supernodes" for kazaa. Users that have alot of "pop" music on their computers that are being shared via, whatever program fits your fancy. What thatdarngirl said is more or less the best thing to do. Uncheck sharing in Kazaa, then move all music files out of shared folder. Thats what i did as well.

i stopped using it cuz my dad turned it off and we kept trying to reinstall it but he foiled (or is it soiled) our plan.

I just turned off the sharing option, so no one can upload from me and I can still download. ALSO, I moved everything that I have downloaded from the Kaaza folder that things get downloaded to, to another folder on my computer. That probably doesn't do much but I figure if they check via Kaaza then the stuff won't be there?

wheres the sharing option? I think im gonna do that

thatdarngirl #3.2.2.1 thatdarngirlOG 2002

It should just be somewhere under options. It asks you which folder would you like to share music from.

skaorsk8 #2 skaorsk8OG 2002

i heard anyone in a band was getting targeted
