Round Here is crazy. Last time i heard it was at mcdonalds. i was shocked. and even tho i was eating yummy fries...it made me sad.
They played that at McDonalds that's wierd. I have a lot of fond memories from that song. It makes me think of this one time I went camping with some friends. I listened to it a lot while I was there because I couldn't sleep and so I just played that CD over and over and that's the first song on it. Good times.
yeah, mcdonalds. but it might not be the programmed music stations we're used to hearing in resturants. makes me think of a WaWa near me we call clubWAWA. they always play trance and house.
My two favorite counting crows songs are "Maria" and "Long December" although I also really like Mr. Jones.
ah i LOOOOOOOOOOOOVE long december
Yeah it's such a great song.
"This year will be better than the last."
Maria?? You mean Anna perhaps?
I'm not sure what the title is, and I'm too lazy to google it right now. But the lyrics are:
"Step off the front porch like a ghost into a fog where no one notices the contrast of white on white.
In between the moon and you, angels get a better view of the crumbling diffence between wrong and right..."
That's the first few lines, but eventually he starts singing about this girl named Maria who is misunderstood and vunerable who he's trying to connect with/hook up with.
OOOOOH, that's Round Here!!! I just remembered.
Ah yeah. That's such a great song. Ironicly enough I'm actually listening to it right now.

yes thank you - I couldn't remember what it was - it was late.
The weezer song:
The World has turned and Left me Here
The world has turned and left me here
Just where I was before you appeared
And in your place an empty space
Has filled the void behind my face
I just made love with your sweet memory
One thousand times in my head
You said you loved it more than ever
You said
You remain, turned away
Turning further every day
I talked for hours to your wallet photograph
And you just listened You laughed enchanted by my intellect
Or maybe you didn't
Do you believe what I sing now?

kicking all kids who play in stupid bands in the head
whoa! that was my nickname for a while. circus bear. yesss!
how ironic
just...what EXACTLY are you saying?
I'm not sure but I'm certain it somehow includes your mother
No, I'd never insult mommy. I just meant its ironic that danhill was told to perform like a circus bear and that was actually a nickname of yours...oh nevermind.
thats what i though at first. but now we know the truth, Bryan.
so why exactly were you called circuis bear? were you fuzzy @ one point in time? did you ride on tricycles that were clearly too small for you, while wearing a tutu?....
"Grandma's got new dentures
To eat the crust on pizza
Taken out by her daughter
Because she thought she ought to
The kids are eating Snickers
Because they're so delicious
Leaves them with sticky fingers
And mother loses her knickers"
HAHA!!!...this band is so versatile, there's everything from traditional brit-rock on here to a motown sounding vibe on one song, to like avante-garde early radioheadish kinda stuff....cool buncha fellas
O MY GOD!!!!..everybody download Kazaa Lite RIGHT NOW( www.klitesite.com )!!!.#1, it's up & running, as opposed to regular Kazaa which you can't find anything on anymore...#2, there's a video circulating of Finch covering.....drum roll please..........STARS BY HUM!!!!!...GO GET IT, NOW!!

WORST excuse for a song ever to be written - The Macarena
I think this (not the macarena..worst song) deserves it's own thread. Then again, maybe the macarena DOES deserve it's own thread.
The Macarena, was a device used by the media, to annoy me into a near-suicidal state of mind
the worst part about the macarena, is that everyone thought it was great at the time
and you were a part of this macarena revalution weren't u!!!...I can see it now, you were probably a macarena freak....
nooooo way....i don't do those stupid dances...electric slide...the country one is kinda okay...its funny to watch
cotton eye joe
Cotton Eye Joe has forever been my favorite dance song. I used to make up my own dance for it..then I was taught the real version by Malibu. I also enjoy the cha-cha slide for some reason.
get funky with it
the electric slide might be the only dance to make it into the new system, EVERY FREAKING witness reception/anniversary part/congregation gathering, they milk the heck outa it like it's the best thing since sliced bread...You're right it is funny to watch though, especially when they're all unorganized and fall over eachother trying to kee in sync
i was at a wedding and everyone there was soooo into doing the electric slide. They were having the best time ever in their life and getting all into it. ANd i thought Wow, your gay
yes, when considering possible adjectives for the electric slide, "gay", is quite possibly among the top 5...I think they all know it's gay too...but..the SECOND that song starts playing, they all fill the floor like brainwashed drones, the song like casts a spell on them...and they all got that big cheesey smile on their face the whole time, like they're the happiest they've ever been, haha
Can we highlight this whole entire comment just so everyone sees it:
"they all got that big cheesey smile on their face the whole time, like they're the happiest they've ever been.." that's definetly one of the best things I've ever read
thanks, you'll be recieving a raise...(lindsy is one of many who bryan pays to speak well of him..)
Yay! Go buy more CDs!
You took Sylvia Plath's place on my AIM profile with the first comment.
i love how there is always one person....who gets SO into it, that they like beat everyone else on the floor up...because if they miss a step...it'd be the worse thing in the world, so they just run all over everyone else
haha, yeah, I consider this electric slide craze to be the equivalent of a cult...it has way to much power over people to just be called a dance..
i did some research on the electric slide and it actually started out as a cult entrance ritual
See I knew it!!...
