the slowdown/letdown

Ok, so i have the new fuel cd, the new nickelback cd, and the new vertical horizon cds. I always give an album one or two listen thrus before i judge them, but they have been disappointing so far. I know there is no radio airplay for them, but i don't care about that junk. I mean it seems that so many bands lately have been getting bad after a good album. And not even that they released a cd right after. They waited a while and released this!!

You want an antidote to this problem you're having?..I'm pretty good @ perscribing music to people that they've never hear of, but, will most likely enjoy...And for you, Mr. Pero, I suggest the following:

The Early November's new album The Room Is Too Cold
and
Brand New's new album Deja Entendu

If you don't like them, I will supply you with a complete refund

I think a lot of people hear a bands first album and they like the format. If their second album isnt the same exact formula, then they are disappointed. Sometimes you just have to roll with the band. Hence the term " Rock & Roll".

ouch! that was really bad. but the idea is correct. look at radiohead
and any other band worth it's weight. they try different things. attitudes change, they listen to other music, they get influenced, they test their limits. all those things are good. when i look at a bands career i like to see chances taken and borders broken.

this is why i am not obsessed with any one band. i like music. i like song, i like the feel of the beat and the way one song will make you feel at that one perfect moment.
i dont grow with these bands, i find the music that grows with me. and i am never dissapointed for it.

Just like Coldplay, I dont like their second album at all, but their first is one of my favorites. Why do bands have to suck so much after a good CD?

tinser #3.1 tinserOG 2002

please please please please tell me you did not put coldplay in the sucks category....both cds are amazing...yes, the first is better...but the second is still awesome....no insulting coldplay

they just let me down with the second album so much, its gonna be hard to forgive them

tinser #3.1.1.1 tinserOG 2002

J
jollycandymanOG 2001

oh yeah, I DO love that song, and the last song on the album and green eyes a little bit (It's a little on the annoying side), but the 1st album just blew me away, every song completely awesome. If they do come out with a new one, I wont hesitate to buy it, they are still one of my favorite bands

tinser tinserOG 2002

okay, as long as that's settled

what about Travis, I first heard them the same time as Coldplay, some of their songs might pass up Yellow for me at least

tinser tinserOG 2002 jollycandyman

hmm, travis is awesome...but nothing passes up yellow in my book...props to travis though

J
jollycandymanOG 2001 tinser

tinser tinserOG 2002 jollycandyman

J
jollycandymanOG 2001 tinser

tinser tinserOG 2002 jollycandyman

i like dishwalla a lil. I really like slow, winey, acoustic, folky stuff. So like radiohead, howie day, anybody like that

hunkpapap hunkpapapOG 2003 tinser

man they rock, another person who has a taste for real music. From li nonetheless, but still great taste. BY THE WAY, get the next vertical horizon...

tinser tinserOG 2002 hunkpapap

I said "Listen up man, they don't even know you're born"

fivezero #2 fivezeroOG 2003

my condolences, papapapa

tinser #1 tinserOG 2002

so i shouldn't buy the new vertical horizon then?

hunkpapap #1.1 hunkpapapOG 2003

This is my advice for all of the above mentioned bands. If you have the PREVIOUS albums AND love the band, only then will you be able to enjoy the cds...

tinser #1.1.1 tinserOG 2002

vertical horizon is awesome

hunkpapap #1.1.1.1 hunkpapapOG 2003

If you liked the first one, you will def like the second. I loved seeing them in concert....
