Billy Joel
I am declaring this Billy Joel Week, because I have an intense love for his music, and though he isn't really putting new music out right now....he is still completely amazing, because his old music never gets old. So, talk about your love for him, your hate for him, post lyrics to your favorite songs, or just talk about his pretty ex wife (pictures acceptable). Billy Joel Week has now begun.
Oh, and one more point, he's from Long Island. This is so cool, because he makes so many references to the city and different parts of the island...he even named one of his cds Cold Spring Harbor. And, I had the same piano teacher as him, I think that's pretty cool.

SUGAR RAY???? That's gotta be some famous person. No way it's the group. Does anyone have info on this?
wasn't he a boxer. well that's why they named their band sugar ray...
AHHH...that must be it.
Sugar Ray Leonard was a VERY famous boxer. thats where the band name comes from. Gab! you learned two things relating to boxing today! what the saying "in your corner" means and who sugar ray leonard is! i'm sorry i made you watch that mexican boxing match that one time tho.

All I can sing along to when te song is going is JFK, blown away! aahhhh, so morbid and fun to sing
haha, i remember hearing those lyrics when i was younger and asking my dad, "they blew the airport up?"
yay! thanx tinser!
that was my goal to learn all the words. i finally did accomplish it but i didn't understand all of them and i remember asking my grade school who this person was, what he did. but i didn't feel bad cuz they didn't know either.
Yeah, I remember memorizing these song lyrics and the books of the bible. That's what happens when you don't buy your kids Nintendo.
hey, nintendo was probably pretty expensive back in the day
But as a result, I will never be able to play video games with the boys. Just another aspect of my life that my parents have ruined. Thanks Mom, thanks Dad.
ME 2!!! i know all the bible books AND my mom paid me $20 to teach them to my little sister.. we weren't allowed to play with video games :(
Wow, I didn't see a dime for my hard work. Did you get paid for A's on report cards too?
yea, when i got a good report card, not only did my parents give me money, but they mailed it to my grandparents so they could c it and they always sent me more money! lol it was great... i kindda wish they still did that, i think i would do much better in school if i got paid for it..
PLAY USSSS A SONG, YOU'RE THE PIANO MAN!!....hey, he has a song where he mentions Hackensack
something something house in hackensack..cause that's all you get for your money.
its from the song movin' out: "Who needs a house out in Hackensack?
Is that all you get for your money?" I was listening to the cd today...and i heard that song and thought of you guys...cause i just learned you lived in hackensack this weekend
no no, I live in Hackensack, Lindsay lives in Hackettstown....they're pretty far appart
Actually, I used to live near Hackensack and now I love near Hackettstown, like 20 minutes away from all the cows (I'm not calling the people who live in Hackettstown cows..just that there are lots of cows in the area)
thats what i meant
our kingdom hall is there too
In the middle of the niiiiight..I go walking through my sleep!
I was raised on Billy and have immense love for him.
these are the times to remember was my high school graduation song. i love billy joel.
