Chills
It's amazing, that after listening to songs a million times, they can still give you chills! I think it really shows the emotional effects that music can have on you, and really how powerful it is.
I know one song that definetly does this for me is AFI- Morningstar.

Pete Yorn - Music For the Morning After--the whole thing gives me chills.
"My Immortal" by Evanescence always gives me goosebumps, no matter how many times I hear it.
Shimmer - by Fuel..I totally forgot about this song, I can't stand any of fuel's newer stuff, but, this song, which I think was their first to get attention, love it...In fact, I remember that whole album being pretty good...I bought it back when I was lik 15, working @ baskin robbins...& let a co-worker borrow it cause she was hott..haven't seen the her, or the cd since
That song is just aweseome. The way he sings sells it. So visual:
She dreams a champagne dream
Strawberry surprise, pink linen and white paper
Lavender and cream
Fields of butterflies, reality escapes her
I love Hemmorage too.
I love you. You love me. - Barney and friends
If waking up terrified in the middle of the night in a cold sweat dreaming of that song counts, yeah, it gives me chills too.
o man,,, i just thought of two more... both of them basically say the same thing but Last Kiss by Pearl Jam and also this song called Heaven's Coming by Wakefield (awsum band u should check out)
I saw sarah mcglaughlin perform live on that Fuse channel, & woah, VERY emotional, did the traditional singing+piano playing routine, a song off her new album I think...I was like on the verge of tears.....& she's hot now!!!..when did that happen..hairs all long & fulla curls, verrrrry cute...
I love her "In the arms of the angel" song.
hey...shes old enough to be yo momma...anyway that womans music is awesome, great songs to cry to, lol...Fumbling Toward Ectasy...
it's so awesome that music can do this to you..i can think of one song like that for me..Vertical Horizon-Best I Ever Had.

i like Computer Love by Zapp. amazing track!
Isn't She Lovely by Stevie Wonder
Don Mclean's "American Pie" and Guns N' Roses' "November Rain" both have that effect on me.
o man.. that november rain song totally gives me chills... i def cried the first time i saw that music video too... very chillfull
especially since the concept was loosely based on a true story
I should also add "My lord, a suppliant at your feet I kneel" from Gilbert and Sullivan's "Iolanthe" to that list.
Perpetual Change~~~~Yessongs
One of Steves Howes guitar solos.
Chills every time, even 30 yrs later.
I got chills from Dashboard's The Best Deceptions on the drive out to western PA last night :)
had the air conditioning on ?
in the year 2525 - if man is still alive
if women can survive - they may find.............................
goo goo dolls-name
dishwalla-angels and devils
Name definitely has that affect on me. the song is a slow boil. but it seems like he gave thought to every word of the song.
i find the smallville theme song really powerful...you know, "someone save me", because clark is only saving lana. not really anyone else.
Remy Zero is good stuff
haha, I always change the channel when the theme song's on
how can you do that?!? You miss out on part of the experiance...you need to watch from 8 to 9....don't miss a minute...especially the coming attractions
I know, I know, I'm sorry..i just REALLY don't like that song

That's because it's beautiful.
HuM- Stars
Killswitch Engage - My Last Sarinade
The Police - Every Little Thing She Does Is Magic
Dashboard - Hands Down
Goo Goo Dolls - Long Way Down
Led Zeplin - Stairway To Heaven
Tool - Aenima, Third Eye
A Perfect Circle - Orestes
ANNNDDD
Further Seems Forever - Snowbirds & Townies
Tacking Back Sunday - There's No "I" In Team
Isn't A Perfect Circle just a bunch of Tool ripoff songs.
um....a perfect circle's singer sang w/Tool first..but, the bands sound NOTHING alike...their vibes are completely different, they're going for two totally different artistic visions...nobody's ripping anybody off, lol...
oh ok. i just heard a couple songs of theirs. they sounded very similar to Tool. But again, I just heard those couple songs so I dont know.
& plus I don't think Maynard(singer for Tool and A Perfect Circle) would be too cool w/the idea of this new band that he's in purposfully copying music of his old band, haha
you like Orestes too? that song's really powerful to me.
Maynard is one of the best lyricists to ever walk the earth, he seriously like surpasses the classification of just "poetry" w/his stuff..& the music to this song gets to me too, the guitar work is SOO artistic....I think his best lyrical work is in Tool though, I mean, the metaphores he uses are psychotic....& who the heck writes about human chromosomes getting enhanced after "Mom"(mother of creation) comes to earth to straighten things out?(that's what 46&2 is about)..crazy stuff
wow, i thought the same exact thing! every single word! lol jk, but yeah you're right tho dude. maynard's great.
yeah, dashboard hands down for me too
Nine Days-Wannabe
hey whatever happened to nine days, are they still around? i saw them and met the band like 5 years ago and havent heard anything from them since.
they are still around sort of...last spring i went to one of their shows...real small local crowd...they were supposed to be bringing out a new album, but then they got rid of their label...so now, they have the album, but no label. They played one of the new songs from the album on the radio a while back, but then they stopped...so as for now...they're, uh...dead i guess.
Live- The Dolphins Cry.. man that song gets to me... reminds me of stuff... ya kno how it is...
yeah, thats definitely a good band. Live's old stuff is really good. the new stuff seems watered down. whenever i'd hear 'the dolphins cry' i would either think about Prince and his song 'doves cry' or the poor dolphins that we eat when we enjoy a tuna fish sammich.
haha..yo dolphins could cry whenever they want..and nobody would ever know..they're being aquatic & all
i love me a good tuna sammich. i like it when i use a TINY bit of mayo, and some mustard instead. throw an egg or two in there after hard boiling, man, that's some crazy protein.
how about an MLT, mutton lettuce and tomato where the mutton is lean and....
what's also interseting is how different of an affect the SAME stimulus can have on two different people...Cause I hate this song....
good one bo.
"Shiver" - Coldplay, "Why Does It Always Rain on Me?" - Travis....... and the "Electric slide"
the electric slide gives me chills of horror, because even after all these years i still can't do that stupid dance.
A Perfect Circle - "Orestes"
haha, I never scrolled down this far..GOOD SONG!!
Eleanor Rigby usually has that effect on me. so does Bridge Over Troubled Water. and sometimes Stay(Faraway, So Close) by U2. but not always.
Same here with Elanore Rigby, I hadn't noticed until you said it, The violin gets me every time
ditto with eleanor rigby. it has the guts to make you feel bad, and then not offer any anwers.
I have a book called, "A Hard Day's Write" It has the story behind every Beatles song. I love the story behind Eleanor Rigby.
whta the story behind it?
that song usta scare me to death asa little kid. it was eerie.
theres a few Smashing Pumpkins songs that give me chills. and theres a band called Brad that i love, that NO ONES heard of! i lost their CD, called Shame, like 7 years ago and i found it again! i played it and i snapped it off immediately! i was just...unprepared for the impact...i forgot how much i LOVE that stuff. of course i turned it back on and listened to it.
