Favorite artist not of your generation
Usually we relate to music of bands who were in their "prime" during our lifetimes. Who are your favorite bands/artists who were biggest before you were born?
mine: the ramones, bob dylan, bob marley. i dont think bruce springsteen and U2 count...they were in their "prime" about when i was born...but theyre still putting out plenty of music. so is dylan, but i counted him since he put out significantly more music before my time.

I dont own it but I have heard it. The guy was a genius.
i also have a large interest in the beginnings of rock and roll and the base of punk so i would go with:
rolling stones, the byrds, sex pistols, velvet underground, new york dolls, doors, MC5, iggy pop, siouxsie and the banshees, blondie, generation x, the stooges,

whooooooo! MC5 and the Stooges are GREAT.

i love old crooners too. like frank, sammy and dean martin (basically the rat pack), even patsy cline falls into this category.
the temptations.
i have a small love affair with them. and anything having to do with motown, soul, blues. berry gorrdy was a genuis in his production of groups back then. like the past p.diddy. people like muddy waters, martha reeves, diana ross, bilie holliday, stevie wonder, big bopper, smokey robinson, arethea franklin, the miracles, the marvellettas, the countours, the superemes marvin gaye, james brown,. any black singers from the 60's were amazing!!!!!!! just way to many to name. it was my childhood of riding in the car listening to thier voiced. and their voices are just beyong compare now, full of feeling and writings you don't find anywehre.
for a gathering back in like january, i dressed up 60's style and wore an afro and huge huge sunglasses and sung "The Way You Do The Things You Do" and did this little sunflower dance or somethin. then we had a blow-up saxaphone and told our presiding overseer to make a surprise entrance.
hahahahahaha. that's amazing!!! pete, you are my hereo! what'd the po say?
lol he said he'd do it. and during the song there's like a part with saxaphone and he came out from the foyer and started to pretend playin the sax, he had fun hehe. i need to find someone who has a pic of it. i have it on video tho.
hahaha. that's amazing!!
-The Beach Boys (love them!)
-Billy Joel (we're talking obsession here)
-Frank Sinatra
forgot the beach boys. like them too
a friend of mine picked out beach boys to listen to in my car a few weeks ago. he was so shocked that he knew most of the songs.
I love the Beach Boys soo much..they're just so amazing. Too bad they aren't all still alive cause they would be so much fun to see live.
i saw them live...they were my first concert...back when i was like 8...remember the time they saw them on full house?
Yes! And there was the time they got lost on this tropical island but it turns out it wasn't deserted because on the other side of the island there was a beach boys concert going on
haha that episode was on the other night. they were also on home improvement. remember that?
what channel is full house on and what time?
