i dont like country western AT ALL... very corny to me. i like some folk/country rock though, willie nelson, bob dylan, tom petty, johnny cash... i guess greatful dead could pass for it too and phil lesh and friends. yeah i like some of that stuff.
ok..so i went to boston for the weekend, and i got a little tired of my cds, so i started pushing "Scan" on the radio to see what happened.
I came across this country radio station...and i heard some reallly good songs. notably, "you can't take the honky tonk out of the girl" and "jose ceurvo"...(ty you would love that one..it's aobut this guy who has 13 shots of jose ceurvo)
so i'm not really sure how this happened...but now i'm downloading all these country songs on purpose.

i don't really listen to country, but i do LOVE "Don't take the girl" by Tim McGraw...and The Dance by Garth Brooks is good too
Let's just say I have no idea how I started listening to country music (it probably was a combination of the Chix and LeAnn Rimes, but neway) I remember being little and hearing "Don't Take the Girl" on that show Rescue 911. And that was one of the first country songs I ever heard, or at least remember.
But both of those songs are really good. Give you goosebumps.

someone gave me a copy of wynonna's cd with the song "Flies On The Butter (You Can't Go Home Again)" this song makes a older sister I know cry everytime she hears it because it reminds her of her childhood. so sweet.
i just saw a brand new video from Brad Paisly, about his wife, the song was sooooo sweet! Its called "little moments". He married the chica from Father of the Bride. They're adorable together.

hahaha. my mom loves this song!! she loves all country in fact and always has it on in the car (whoever drives picks the station and she likes to drive) this leads to me randomly bursting into songs about beeing in jail, my mom getting outta jail, drinking, losing my car or my guy. things of this nature

I like country music. In fact, I just got Alabama's number one hits CD and The Essential Johnny Cash CD.
Johnny Cash was the greatest, (not to mention coolest), country singer ever. I especially love the songs "I Walk the Line", "Ring of Fire", and "A Boy Named Sue".
I can't believe I didn't mention Garth Brooks. I've got his Double Live CD set and I don't think there's a single song on there that I don't like.

i LOVE country music... Brad Paisly, Kenny Chesney, Toby Keith, George Straight, Kenny Rodgers, Dixie Chicks, Tim McGraw....my list goes on and on... when i used to pioneer, me and summer would listen to y107 (which used to be the bestest country station but is now a spainsh channel) for like 8 straight hours every day... i'm more into the really old love type songs... country is the best ever...
