BRAND NEW GETS DOWN
by Ok, I think I've mentioned my love for this band before, but, it's worth saying again..BRAND NEW, is freakin great...I advise you all to at least check'm out - very unique style of indie rock/emo - a tad experimental @ times but catchy & easy to get into at the same time...Anybody seen the video to thier song "Sic Transit Glroia...Glroy Fades"?...VERY artistic, love it - & the bass line to that song is so infectious - borderline funky...all in a all, a very good band, if you're not already hip to'm, getty up..go download anything off Deja Entandu...Especial Guernica.....& the lyrics, AMAZING, very familiar themes & subjects, phrased in extremely clever/artistic/witty ways....I could definately see many of you diging them...The bassist in the band that my band shares a practice studio with (phil - beside the white) actually went on tour w/them as a roadie, i'm so freakin jealous..

I think both albums are great...in very different ways though - the first one's punk-ish, extremely clever lyric-wise, & it's catchy w/out being corney....The second has some of those same characterstics, but it's a bit more experimental
yeah i gotta agree... my favorite weapon was instantly a favorite, and Deja Entendanu I liked, but it grew on me sooooo much so. I had to really listed to it, then I was playing it more than the first.
Honest to goodness... Brand New saved me last summer. They are AWESOME. I LOVE jesse, well actually everyone of the guys. I saw them in concert and freaked. I hope they don't get played out - I want them to stay awesome.
yeah, you're definately invited to scavenger hunt next time - any fan of brand new is more than worthy of the joy that IS the scavenger hunt...
On another note, i think we should combine scavenger hunt, and man hunt....any ideas as to how?

s'good. i like it because it's less emo than a lot of emo garbagio out there. the voice and the guitar sounds make me smile. i'll say that brand new is not emo. no, they are not.
dude, u must not have heard all'a their stuff....lol, I think a bad taste in your mouth regarding the term emo - but listen to ANYTHING off the album before thiis one & that's basically all it is...both albums are great, this one's a tad bit weirder..in a good way obviously

definately - there's also a lot of influence from the band Built To Spill - musically anyway
