yeah i know what you will say. "Good job Mike, thats what you get for buying something so cheap. Oh, but you still are hot."
Yes yes, i know.
ok, well here i am... looking at the Apple Store website and seeing what my options are. What do you guys have?
So far ive found.

This one looks promising....
I must be stuck in 1985 as a 6 year old playing Atari or something, because I have no knowledge of any of these things people call toys today.
i have the DLO transpod and love it. i bring it in everyone else's cars, on long road trips and such.
now, for my new car, I got the new alpine head unit ($170) with speed cable ($20) so I can control the ipod from the head unit. Now my ipod stays in the glove compartment full time, hidden, and I don't worry about getting into an accident while shifting and controlling my ipod at the same time.
get this one

its half the price of most and it is absolutely great. i have no problems at all, its better than any other one i've ever had
oh and btw...ive had about 5 of these things too. this old one i forget the brand. an itrip. a new itrip (returned). a belkin (returned). then i found this no name one and its far outperformed all of the rest.
Don't get the Belkin FM transmitter. It's garbage. Too low powered; staticy. I'm gonna be putting a computer in my car to solve my music longing.
Ok, I don't know what everyone's beef is with belkin, but mine has worked perfectly for over a year. And before that, Donovan had it for like 3 years. In fact, we just bought another one. Maybe it's the compatibility of the ipod with belkin, in which case, as was summarized by Ian, I got a better deal than all of you.
Maybe too there's less radio interference where you live.
LOL everybody's knockin' on PA today
nothing really to knock, PA sucks, the radio signals out there suck, the crappy mp3 player di has sucks, and the music ON the mp3 player that she is playing.... yep, you guessed it... SUCKS
oh burn
you live in the woods too, where theres ZERO reception so i wouldnt talk.
Thank you! We've been through all this before - Mike, don't hate because I got a supremely better deal than you because you wanted to be a sheep and get an ipod like everyone else. Baaaaaaaaahhhhhh!
you hold on there too little one...you live in what PA? thats worse than mike in the woods. LOL
I live in a city that's like 20 times that of where Mikey lives.
Um...
its PA...
IT DOESNT MATTER IF YOU HAVE MORE OF A CONCENTRATION OF HICKS!!! THEY ARE STILL HICKS AND YOU STILL LIVE IN PA!!! GOOD DAY
I SAID GOOD DAY
You're from a far more hickish place and drove a purple car. Case closed.
yeah, mike's right. hackettstown aint nothin special, but its better than PA. PA is like...lame.
i'm sorry, but once you're out of new jersey, the states just progressively get more and more lame. like everything sucks, especially the food. you can't even get a good bagel, or slice of pizza outside of NJ. and once you get into PA, the people just start getting way more psychotic. it's like everything is backwards.
round two...FIGHT!
haha, this is going to start causing trouble.
PA is nice, NJ is nice, NY is nice, CA is nice. THEY'RE ALL NICE. PA is just the cheapest to live in.
I think you guys are all compensating for something. And until you've lived someplace other than where you were born, you can't really have perspective anyway.
HAHAHA i dont have to compensate a single thing. you yourself said you would want to live in CA (norcal). hahaha and i choose to not live anywhere else, nothing wrong with that.
No, not you! I loved CA. I'm talking about Mike and the Kelly boys, who I know haven't moved more than 50 miles in their entire lives.
BUT the point you are trying to say is to everyone that still lives where they were born.. Gina was born in Cali... you are saying that she cant love where she lives cause shes never lived anywhere else.
If you think it will help me truly appreciate Jersey by living the the cesspool that is PA... well.. i STILL wouldnt live out there... only thing you have out there that i like is the Taco Bell by your house... but its run by some crazy Amish people so who knows what im getting in my taco bell grande..
this makes no sense. any retard could discern that PA sucks.
and also, i spent a year traveling Europe, so that just goes to show how much you know...little miss "perspective"
oooh hooo with the name calling there.
So what you're saying sparky, is that pizza and bagels are better in nj than NY? Who's the moron now?
dude last time i was over there, there was cows and chickens walking around in the street ok?!
hey watch it, you live in a stupid place so blah... ok fine you live in an awesome place i want to live there please mail me there someone
Well, egggggxactly. Poor radio signals mean clearer iPod signals.
No, it's a good thing. A plus for PA. PA means a clearer signal for music that one loves.

I've gone through two FM transmitters (both Belkin) and I hated both of them.
I use the good old cassette adapter now (took my CD player out of my car for this purpose).
ha i've been using this for months and it's always clear: http://www.target.com/gp/detail.html/ref=br_1_15/601-1952704-8352940?ie=UTF8&frombrowse=1&asin=B00093040Y
the boy wants to get me some real-deal harness thing for my jetta though cos there's a company that makes really good ones for vw's.
How could your fm transmitter not work well? Maybe you just need to find a better station. I can rock mine and it's still really clear.
some transmitters are just crappy.. my old itrip so so staticy
yeah i think its not that... its the one i got.. thats why im asking what kinds everyone got.
This one is mine. Belkin's pretty good. I like that it automatically turns on and off when it recieves a signal.
that's a great deal
Do you know the make and model of your head unit?
negative... nooo idea
lol
i drive a Honda 98 DX piece of junk tho, if that helps, but it doesnt really matter.. i think i just need something to plug into the cig lighter, right?
well I was asking to find out if you have an 'easy' aux in... if so that is 10X better than any FM transmitter... YMMV
noooo... i wish. that would be the easiest way, but alas i dont.
you can use an FM Modulator.
http://www.crutchfieldadvisor.com/ISEO-rgbtcspd/learningcenter/car/peripherals_installation_guide.html?page=3
that's the best way to go if you don't have an aux-in.
What transmitter do you have now and hate?
I just got myself the new iTrip with car charger and it's so much better than my old iTrip was.
here's the one i have now: http://www.griffintechnology.com/products/itripauto/
plugs into the bottom of the ipod and into your car charger. the fm transmitter is in the middle, and it's powered by the car which is very nice. easy to switch stations with +/- buttons right on the transmitter. clarity is 100% better than the old itrip.
