MEEBO-AIM SUBSTITUTES LOCKED

This isn't very involved.

When I'm at work I prefer to use meebo than aim express.

Meebo lets you log on to multiple accounts from different clients MSN,AIM,YAHOO la de da.

The funky thing I'm noticing is that you can set yourself to away but, it doesn't catch the messages it still bombards your screen with them.

And I did a little test from home and the people sending the messages actually don't receive a message letting them know you're not there or busy.

Are there other service like meebo but, better?

i like meebo because the windows move around ... well you can move them. so web 2.0 .

I believe she cant use a chat program at work, because either they dont like you too, or block the aim port.

Livy, If you you just cant connect to the aim for some reason, usually cause the lame admins have blocked that port, go into your connection settings and change the port number to anything other random 4 numbers... I worked at one job where the admin would block the port I was using every day, so i would have to change it daily. But he was pretty lame and boring, most likely they wont even notice.

If you cant even GET to the aim site to download or dont have sufficient rights thats a whoooole other problem, sometimes there are work arounds for that, buuut i dunno if you wanna do that.

I have used meeboo, what browser are you using? Have you tried in Firefox 2.0?

I don't think anything here is really blocked but, my co worker said at one time there was an email about certain sites. So just to be on the safe side she uses Meebo to. We don't have Firefox here just Explorer, but we're definately not allowed to download anything.
