Dual lightsabers (fighting with 2 sabers)
Dual phase lightsaber.(this one is only mentioned in the books. It's used by Corran Horn and one other person that I can't think of the name of at the moment. Basicly it's a lightsaber with 2 focusing crystals instead of one and what you can do with it is in midfight you can change the length of the blade from long to short, short to long or anywhere inbetween)
One regular boring old saber.
Or something else I haven't mentioned I know there is one other kind at least but I can't think of the name of it.

anytime I've ever seen someone in a movie use a long staff to fight, they have:
1) handled the entire length of it.
2) used parts of their body against the bow for leverage.
Comparing a dual ended light-saber(ala darth maul) to a long staff is stupid. a better analogy would be a long, razor sharp, double-bladed sword with the handle in the middle. And even then you can hit yourself (with the broad side of the blade) and not hurt yourself.
I've never seen anyone handle such a weapon.

Actually, the other guy who had the light saber that could change lengths had it so it could be three different lengths. He was actually being taught by an ancient sith and was turning sith himself before he was destroyed by the power.
Yeah he could set it between short medium and long. That was in the Jedi search trilogy. Not as good as Zahn's but pretty good.

yeah, but even if you just think of the light saber....its the whole concept behind it. It's the first one...the original has gotta be the best.
