Personally from reading the books my favorite character is Jacen Solo. He's just an awsome character and totally the way I would be if I was a Jedi. He's just so awsome. He just gets better and better as the New Jedi Order series goes on.

How is Obi-wan not winning? Collectively he is the best character. In the original movies he's just some crazy man living out in the desert that quirks his eyebrows and says weird things and is able to swindle in dark bars. In the new movies he's just becoming a master and he's just the man because..I don't know.
I agree with you. Obiwan is awsome, with these new movies he is become my favorite character.

It's who you think is the best character not neccissarily your favorite. Which one you seem to think was the best overall in the series of movies. I really don't know how else to explain it though I think most people just voted for their favorite character. It's really up to you how you want to interpret it.
And why do you have Anakin on that list and Darth Vader on that list?

Yeah she did play one of NP's clones in Star Wars. I was saying the same thing after I saw Pirates too and then I found out she was in Star Wars and looked it up and low and behold she was one of the characters that was supposed to be a double. They really do look a lot alike, but I'd still take NP over kiera. lol

Wedge is so cool! Like..he's just a normal guy who rises to be this hero yet he doesn't have any special powers or anything. I think you'd like the Wraith Squadron books that are in the Rogue Series..they're funny. Wraiths are the outcasts and the misfits.

I don't know if I could ever pick one favorite character out of the millions that there are. Some of my favorite are definetly: Mara Jade, Talon Karade, Wedge Antilles (he just may be my favorite), Corran Horn, Grand Admiral Thrawn, Han Solo (how can you not love him in those pants?)...man I'm missing so many in here.

well, i haven't read any of the books, but...
my all time favorite is luke skywalker. He's a jedi, a skywalker, awesome with the force, and he's young and realatively inexperianced...i like that about him.
i also really liked darth vader always, before he turned good. I can't explain it, perhaps i have a weakness for the dark side in me somewhere.
and....of course i have to include darth vader's former self, anakin mainly because he is just so darn hot!
Yeah well Darth Vader is a really cool character. I know a lot of people that like the empire over the rebellion simply because of Darth Vader.

I do love Luke..but I have a problem with him too. One, he is such a whiney baby in the first movie. Like- get over it and do your work and THEN you can go to the Toshi Station to pick up power converters. Second, once he becomes a Jedi he gets waaaayyy to serious. He's know fun anymore after that. I hear in the later books he lightens up a bit and gets hitched, but before that he definetly had an attitude problem.
see, i think these are the things i like about him. He has a lot of issues, which is great, it makes him realistic, in the first movie, he's such a baby, totally immature...then he overdoes the maturing thing, by being too serious, showing that he still hasn't really gotten life down yet. It's totally a learning process with him, i really like that. Seems like he had trouble finding himself, i like that his character isn't the standard "perfect hero" that so many stories are used to

Yeah he does get better later on in the books.Especially in the New Jedi Order Series.
