If you have an hour to kill, you can listen to Microsoft's August 21 conference call: Blaster Customer Teleconference

it's been quiet for a few weeks, but i hope everyone's avoided this annoying little bugger. someone at exxon/mobil sent me the virus at work which was quite annoying.

DUH TO YOU! If you read it correctly, the authorities were talking to him about a week and then arrested him instead of the first day. So he was confused as to why after a week of them asking all sorts of questions and saying you don't need a lawyer they then place him under arrest and don't even have a charge against him.

i'm sorry; are you part of the "anti-reply-button" club? i feel i read the article correctly. the guy's a dolt for talking to the cops for a week and then being surprised that they were spending that time gathering evidence against him. knowing that he sent the worm, why did he think they were asking him questions...'cause he's an expert?

update: Report: Blaster suspect 'surprised' at arrest

um, duh! here's a quote: "I was very surprised. To me it came completely out of the blue that I was going to be arrested and charged with this offense."

i mean, what WAS he thinking? let me send a virus around the world and mess up everyone's systems. that's not a crime, right? it'll be like tron!

get real...

Saturday's Star Ledger had this: Minnesota teen is first to be charged in 'Blaster' Internet attack

There was a small pic of him in the paper...and he looks HUGE! There's a pic of him on msnbc.com.

all that idiot did was make a variant and to make it easier for him to get caught he had the worm send info back to a website that he registered with his real name and address. I don't think you could have made it any easier for the fbi to catch him, for once i thought they were smart but they just had to know how to do a whois of the domain.

i know, what a retard. i actually hope they find the original writer of the worm tho, cause he needs to be slapped around.

if he was smart he would have had it report back to his nemesis ian @ ezabel.com and get him in trouble for creating it!

said nemesis prays for the day he can be considered on ian's level
