Battlestar Galactica
by Just wanted to let you all know how awesome this new show is. It starts in January on SciFi, but it's been playing in the UK, so I've been taking some "sneak peeks", if you know what I mean.
It's a remake of the old series from the late 70s. Never saw the originals, so I don't know how similar the new series is. But the writing, directing, and acting is just awesome.
Such a cool scifi universe too. No aliens and stuff. Just humans and the cylons. Cylons are highly advanced robots created by humans that rebel, are banished, and come back hundreds of years later for revenge. Only about 50,000 humans are left, and they're running from the cylons. Intense, emotional, and action packed.
Highly recommended. Hopefully they'll replay the 2 part miniseries they aired back in December '03. Gives you a great feel for the show, and sets up the whole story.

so I guess part of the chapter on Jehovah's power (in Draw Close book) --that talked about the size of the galaxy, and sheer number of stars, and galaxies--didn't impress you much?

im watching. i missed the second ep (i think) but i caught this week prison ship. i like it okay. the mini series was def more interesting than the series so far. it fits nicely into my sci friday block. i love stargate!!!
the first two episodes wer great. the 3rd, not my favorite. but they only get better from there on out.
well now that stargate is new eps...they have my attn.

well, duh! did you think kurt russell and james spader would do tv? james spader needed an ego check before he took the practice or whatever they are calling it now. seriously its a great show. i love mythology stuff and they do a really good job with it. plus richard dean anderson is just cool.
i watched this saturday. i found it highly enjoyable.
and i might add, although i generally think blondes are blah, tricia helfer/number 6 is yowsa! she is that stupendous rebecca romijn/charlize theron sort of blonde.

i never took interest in this. i always though it was a poor man's star wars. but the new stuff looks quality. the effects were well done and the acting didn't suck. i might have to peep this.
i used to watch this all the time on tv when i was a kid. i remember the ships and laser beams but little else. I may be wrong on this, but wasn't this show only like, one season?
