i'm not trying to be overly critical because yes, she looks better than most girls really, but i'm just saying when you're an actress in hollywood in a huge blockbuster you should have better skin, cuz you have the means to get stuff done, and your face is gonna be on a GIANT screen so you should want to have smooth skin! that's all
Isn't this her first movie? I've never seen her in anything else. I'm sure she'll learn as she goes. Look at Jessica Simpson. She had bad skin then used Proactive. LOL!!
yeah so this was pretty good
couple things though
they were at Hoover Dam and then 2 seconds later they were in a city.. what was that.. LA? Phoenix? How did they get to a city so fast.. I want to know. this bothered me for the rest of the movie hahahaha..
Also good job making the kid climb 40 flights of stairs only to bring him back down. Yeah, it's okay, there's alien robots flying around but i'm sure a government helicopter will be just fine there.
Oh and also it was so pro-war..war propaganda!! Soldiers are so cool, "losing is not an option with these guys", soldiers can do anything, and when you're done being awesome you totally get to go home to your wife and baby!! Haha..
Oh and why didn't the helicopter robot just destroy the city with that pulse thingie like he destroyed the army base? ALl of a sudden he was weak enough to be killed by Josh Duhamel's little gun?

Actually the helicopter guy (Blackout) got hit by two saber rounds from the jets flying over the city. Then one or two saber rounds from Duhamel. And his gun had a 2" diameter shell in it. One of them would blow us to bits.

they always do that in movies. like in legally blonde, it was centered in Boston, MA. and you know the courthouse scene? it was filmed right next door to my allergist in Santa Ana:

This gave me goosebumps when I first saw this scene.
Potential Transformers 2 plot:
saw it the other night, i really liked it. a few cheesy moments, but really not even that bad. the live action parts were actually pretty good. i liked how the kid interacted with his parents, i found that really funny. and the cgi was incredible, although at times it was hard to see everything with so much going on. i liked the slow motion parts the best because you can see everything clearly
okay. i was prepared for cheese.
not the best effects film ever made. the effects had me sitting there like a doofus with my mouth wide open. the effects were the main character, ever HUMAN performance took a back seat. not to say Shia wasn't pretty dang good and fun to watch, among other characters...
poor acting and forced scenes were. . . about as frequent as i thought they'd be-- but c'mon, everytime i'd be like "heyyy, that dialogue sucks" a car would transform into a huge robot and i'd be like "oh, shiznit!"
total popcorn eye candy wow car chicks robots sweet weapons shooting explosions movie.

i think i laughed the hardest when anthony anderson's cousin was running from the swat team... around the hall, through the sliding glass door, over the picnic table, tackled into the pool. it was a metaphor for how rediculous the movie really is.
but ooohhhhh, loookkk, cars and robots! destruction and fire!

I thought the dialogue was great. A couple of moments were pure cheese, but overall the acting was pretty good. The scenes with Sam and his parents were the best.
That scene with the cousin running away from the SWAT was hilarious.
Between Optimus and Sam, they made the story awesome to me.
sam and his parents were mad funny. i liked the "handsome man" line. and the father/son knuckle pound when he saw the chick in sam's room.

I saw Transformers a second time yesterday and noticed something. Megatron is the only transformer that still resembles a cybertronian transformer. He never scanned an earth-like machine like the other transformers. So, if he is brought back by some miracle in a 2nd transformers movie, I wonder if he will become the Megatron we know from the cartoon. An interesting scenario to ponder.

I never liked the fact that he turned into a pistol in the cartoon. They have to bring Megatron back though.

Megatron's classic alternate mode was a Walther P38 pistol, but Hasbro the owners, and official distributors of the toyline stated that they would not produce a gun of any kind for their characters (it's also illegal to make replica toy guns in several jurisdictions). Also the writers thought it was like "having Darth Vader transform into his own lightsaber and someone else swinging him around," so it was changed to an "interstellar jet." Megatron was also given a less humanoid face to make him more menacing.
although it's true he didn't appear to ever transform into anything in the movie
he didn't scan a vehicle. he was just naked robot megatron. no disguise.
Yeah. He went from being frozen to going into battle. No time to worry about becoming an earth vehicle or whatever.
i'm so happy you guys are giving positive comments about this movie, most of the reviews i've seen have been ripping it. now i really can't wait to go see it. ahh, the critics are stupid usually anyway

ahhh, an excellent movie. it was really quite brilliant. they kept the plot simple. the dialogue was good, and not corny. the humor (although slightly corny, but only as corny as a movie based on an 80's cartoon television show should be) was actually humorous.
but, the best part of the movie was the action. how can you go wrong with 50 foot tall robot ripping apart cities, flipping cars, and ripping each other to shreds. the whole movie was just one big action scene.

It's funny, I read in many places people thought the plot had holes. I didn't see any.
i didn't notice any either. but even if it did, who cares? the plot wasn't the most important part of the movie. the creators of the movie did an incredible job of creating something that is entertaining. i don't care if the plot is weak, or if the jokes are a little cheesy. all i care about is that i am entertained when when i leave the theatre.
What I loved the most, was that Optimus Prime was true to his character. "At the end of this day, one shall stand, one shall fall.". I love it!!
that gave me chills! LOL everyone in the theater started clapping and hooting after that!

So the little Decepticon wasnt Soundwave, but actually Frenzy who is partners with Barricade... I just found that out this morning, just in case anyone was wondering...
I read that Soundwave will be in the sequel.

Great Film!! I give it an A!! The projector froze with 5 minutes left in the movie, that stunk, but it came back on like 20 minutes later so I was happy and they gave us free tickets to come back...

LOL! The theater I was in, they played the Simpsons trailer twice and didn't turn the lights off until after the movie started. No commercials though. I guess they didn't have time to splice them into the reel.
Cool movie. It's definitely entertaining, mind blowing sequences, and very funny throughout. I give it an A-.

it's funny how the execs can literally buy our attention with nostalgia and effects. they buy the popular property, then they produce a big budget effects picture, the masses drool! i dislike every single talent in this movie, in front of and behind the camera. stillll, i'll be there because it's the TRANSFORMERS! and the effects... oyyy, they look better than anything i've ever seen.
