We are all sort of close to being the same age.. and all have similar taste in most things, so I just thought this would be fun.
No arguments.. please.. if you LOVE a movie that someone else hates, just let it go this is just for fun.
My worst movie EVER - Bicentennial Man. With Robin Williams as a robot. WOW. That was horrid and I would have walked out if I wasn't with a group of friends - but afterwards we all agreed that was the worst movie we ever saw.
Now you, go. What movie did you walk out of, or hate, so much, that it is still in your memory. I wonder how many will have the same movie since we all grew up in the 90's. ha!

we were talking about this at work today, the STREET FIGHTER movie, the one with jean claude van damme. holy crap that was so dumb. it looked like somebody filmed it in their back yard
"Who is going home, and who is going weet meee?
You know what TV Show I love..
NEWS RADIO
the re-runs are still hilarious as ever
Dude Worst Movie i ever saw was the island of Dr Moreau.
SECOND I'm upset no one mentioned for me was that movie Earth something with John Travolta as the tall rasta haired monsters where the people of earth learn to maneuver fighter planes in a couple days. Stupid L Ron Hubbard movie...
master of disguise.
i love dana carvey but that movie was just horrible.
wild wild west.
i remember that i love will smith and i was dying to see this movie and it may have been the worst movie ever made. horrible unbelievable plot and so stupid. but i did enjoy some of the costumes.
Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow
Even Angelina Jolie couldn't redeem this movie.
YES. this movie was like sky captain and the world of EVERY OTHER MOVIE EVER MADE it was like bits and pieces of every other movie
ohman it was so bad
Wing Commander
I don't even remember what this movie was about, just that my sister and I thought it was the worst ever and still compare other bad movies to it: "Well, at least it wasn't as bad as Wing Commander."
I was gonna add this. I have a pretty heartbreaking story behind it too. awful, turdy movie.
ugh this was only number #3 for me in worst movies
You gonna start singing show tunes now Pat?
I love paint your wagon!
the big bounce...
i kept thinking... this has to eventually go somewhere, but it never did. i didn't even finish it.
uggh i remember this!! it was such a bad movie. so undeveloped and not funny, only redeeming characteristic was owen wilson. i remember a few people fell asleep when we went to the movies to see this.
"jack" with robin williams is an awful awful film. and "stealth"...ugh miserable.
I had enough sense not to see it when I found out what it was about.
HAHAHAHA stealth... dude i remember i argued with you on this one...
um it has jessica in it.. duh. hotness
the new world.
that movie was boring as sin
Oh yeah, that was probably one of the only movies I've ever rented that I turned off after 20 minutes.
oh! this surprises me. i just bought it. haven't watched it yet though. saving it for a rainy day.
i love the director Terrance Malick. he did The Thin Red Line. The best war movie ever made, only slightly edged out by Saving Private Ryan. SICK CAST: jim cavizel, sean penn, john cusack, nick nolte, john travolta, woody harrelson, george clooney, john c. reilly, adrian brody, nick stahl, thomas jane, even donal logue among others!
anyway, this guy, Malick, has a really slow, deliberate style. loves nature and quiet scenes with no dialogue. a real film nut considers Malick's movies a rare treat. he only makes a film once every ten years or so. they're all quite beautiful and have a very spiritual vibe.
i dont know if there were any words uttered in the new world. it was like a wordless documentary about the woods
yes... thats EXACTLY what it is.. there is no dialog.... its just a waste of 3 hrs...
you know what's funny? i'm really looking forward to seeing it. when knuckleheads tell me they don't like a movie-- i'd be MORE inclined to see it than not. lol
but whenever someone loves or hates a movie i become very curious why and i check it out to try to see what they see.
actually, i think i might like this movie now if i saw it again. i really wasn't watching it under the right circumstances - on vacation with a bunch of people. i probably could appreciate it watching alone/in a small group.
but anywho, jersey girl was a really crappy movie.
it's been almost two years. give it a shot. you probably are smarter now and have a more opened mind. i really liked the new world. and i'll agree that jersey girl was pretty bad.
i'm with the peppytones. unbreakable wasn't that great... i mean yea.. an entertaining movie sure.. but.. he's the chearleader! save bruce willis save the world
nice!
ooooooooooo pay it forward really was bad. i didnt like it at all.
im gonna say that ALL home made movies by me and matt were amazing.
ewww take this to the macking forum please
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH...
well i was young and i needed the money
unbreakable.
and you stinkin made us sit through the whole thing....its going to get better guys, i promise...but it never did pepitone, it never did.
Are. you. kidding. me.
Unbreakable is an awesome movie.
you're severely retarded. unbreakable is a really, really good movie.
tell me what movies you actually do like, so i can shred you.
Wow... I think you just lost all credibility as a movie critic...
yeah i love this movie .. love love love.. but i'm not gonna argue about it.. POOF!
unbreakable is awesome
yeah, i agree...unbreakable is one of my favs.
Its probably one of M.Night Shamalans best movies...
are you guys kidding me? it was the longest movie ever with NO payoff. are you guys talking about the same movie? the one with samuel l jackson? we saw it with another couple and all of us were grumbling that adam rented such a crappy movie.
if it was so good, what made it good? im really curious if we just didnt "get it"
and i LOVE mnight shamalan. i think he's a brilliant director, in fact most of his movies that didnt do well i loved. and the movies that did great either didnt see or hated.
weird.
It's a superhero origin story. If you go into it realizing that, maybe you'd enjoy it more. The payoff is the discovery of his powers, and the reveal of the villain.
yeah my goodness i love that movie
just everything
everything
i think it was originally supposed to be a trilogy? but then it didn't do that well so there was no money for additional movies
but like i think it's amazing on its own
it's just perfect
i guess i just dont get it.
yea he's strong.
yea the other guy breaks.
how does that make them both super heros?
Mr. Glass is not a super hero. He's the villain. The arch-nemesis.
but HOW? he just breaks! thats all he does! how does that make him the unbreakable guy's enemy? all he has to do is blow on him & he breaks.
it doesn't take powers to be a supervillian. all you need is a motive, an enemy, and the will to do evil.
didn't you see the ending.. he was the one that caused all those horrible things to happen
they started out friends, like most superhero/villain relationships - like Superman and Lex Luthor, like Spiderman and .. umm.. whoever Spiderman fights i don't know because those movies are gay
anyway
the fact that he caused all those things shows he is evil and basically he made himself the villain and blah blah blah
HA! you argued!

i hated the Adam Sandler remake of The Longest Yard. i despised every moment of it for some reason. i usually like adam sandler too.
I think we need to separate worst movies by genre.
Comic book movie: The Hulk
Comedy: Mars Attacks
Action: Last Action Hero
Drama: Any Ben Afleck/Jen Lopez movie
Animation: Beavis and Butthead Do America
Am I missing a genre?
beavis and butthead do america is a brilliant film, and anyone who says otherwise should be put to sleep.
Hmmm...What were you like 8 years old when it came out?
i don't know how old i was when it came out. what difference does it make?...
you're an idiot.
Haha... You're so fun to tease.
oh my gosh i dont know why i didnt say this first... Step Up. holy moly that movie stunk! i had to turn it off i hated it so much!
i hate when movies are so predictable.
BEST IN SHOW! ugh i hated it so much.
yeah i dont know why so many people liked this movie... like there was funny parts sometimes, but overall, i didnt get it.
no, no. you didn't hate it. you just didnt get it. this movie is ridiculously hysterical. (You have to watch it with Austin, seriously) it is very dry humor, but once you "get" it, it's hilarious.
HILL-HAIRY-US
hahaha i love when i can HEAR you saying things.
but seriously that movie sucked.
i'd love to watch it with austin because i kind of feel asleep
i love best in show too, it's true though some people don't get the humor, it's offbeat
wait is this the movie about the dog show?
yeah this is the dog show movie. i liked it.
you are dumb, christopher guest = hilarious movie. Go watch Waiting For Guffman.
loved it. and a mighty wind, and this is spinal tap
i was gonna say i love a mighty wind.
this is spinal tap is one of my all-time favorite movies
OH MAN!!! best in show was sooo good! i love chris guest's movies (although his latest one was pretty disappointing).
Any movie with Woody Allen in it.
(bring it on Kellys)
Curse of the Jade Scorpion was actually pretty funny...
i'm not gonna argue, but i will say that you're just too stupid to get the humor!
"i don't want to move to a city where the only cultural advantage is being able to make a right turn on a red light."
i just thought of another one....white oleander. i felt slitting my wrists after it!
you should read the book. it had so many more mind games that the mom was playing and was extrememly dramatic. the movie just stunk because they couldn't fit all of that in the allotted time frame so cut out all the parts that made it make sense.
Wicker Park
This one is tolerable
DareDevil
DEF
Everything with Keanu Reeves except for Bill & Teds Excellent Adventure
Or a Walk in the Clouds, one of my all time favorite movies!
yo come on what about the Matrix? Or the Replacements?
you cut me deep man
i just realized you said the replacements....UGH that was such a long dumb movie! i remember being at the movies, i forget who i was sitting next to, but whoever it was, we were making fun of it the whole time...ugh keanu is so bad.
and i just remembered the kid dies... i hate movies where either the kid or the animals die.
maybe i'm wrong but there is no kids in the replacements. its the one about the replacement football players. i think you're thinking of that baseball movie when he's the coach.
YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSS oh yea... whats THAT movie called? it was really dumb.
um WAY TO RUIN THE MOVIE FOR ANYBODY THAT HASNT SEEN IT!!!
gg
we're talking about STUPID movies, that people wouldnt want to see.
WELL YEAH NOW NOBODY IS GOING TO WANT TO!
GODDDDDDDDDDD
i think that was called hardball, yeah pretty dumb. then again, keanu reeves doesn't exactly swing for the fences... pardon the pun
oy anyone remember Sweet November
eek
The Lake House wasn't bad
ALL of his movies suck, but sometimes he's IN a good movie. three examples: The Matrix, Point Break, and Thumbsucker. good movies that were strong enough to transcend the suck of KR.
I loved point break! (the edited tv version, of course) I loved watching keanu and patrick swayze surfing...
hulk, daredevil, the punisher... all terrible
Dirty Dancing 2: Havana Nights
Yeah I had absolutely ZERO interest in seeing this during it's original release. Have passed on rental numerous times, guess I didn't miss out.
the tv version of Gummo
i was home sick one day fell asleep watching tv and when i woke up gigli was on (TBS or something like that) i only saw a bit of it and had to change the channel. it was the WORST ever!
yeah supposedly that was the worst movie ever. although ben affleck is pretty horrible.
yea, he is horrible. there are some actors that you know if they're in it, the movie will suck, and others you know the movie will be good.
Great actors: Denzel Washington, Jodi Foster, Matt Damon
Suckfest actors: Ben Affleck, Julianne Moore
ben affleck was awesome in Boiler Room, because he was in it for a very short amount of tmie
thumb wars
Mars Attacks!
I think you hit it on the nose. I worked at the theater when this came out.
I loved Mars Attacks!
Any movie that features Tom Jones is horrible.
"Its not unusual to be loved by anyone..."
Please don't... I have nightmares about cleaning theaters to that song. Haha...
TOM JONES IS A GOD! How dare you speak out against the Welshman
Maybe the only Tim Burton movie that I find 100% unwatchable.
I remember seeing "Powder" a while back, that was horrible. The plod outline on imdb pretty much says it all: "A young bald albino boy with unique powers shakes up the rural community he lives in"
lol i think you have posted that link and THAT quote like 4 times on ezabel...
what? i did?
we actually had an albino man come into our neurology clinic this morning, he had ridiculously bright red eyes. it was really creepy. but i looked straight at him, i didnt want him to feel bad.
ive seen a little asian girl albino.
A couple of guys in High School used to call me Powder, after the movie. Haha... Cuz I'm pale.
hahaha we used to call my nieces friend powder too cause she was platinum blonde and super white
I remember I went to that movie Honey... and i thought well Jessica Alba... least sometjhing to look at...
negatory... worst waste of 10 bucks ever.
YOU'RE the worst waste of 10 bucks. mongloid.
mongloid, HAHAHAHAHAHAHA.
ur mom.
hahaha, giggle giggle.
honey - the story of a poor, tortured girl with no prospects and amazing abs just trying to make it in the hip-hop dance world.
This forum reminds me of a saying....that JWs should not discuss 1-Movies they watch & 2-How they count their time. Because SOMEone is likely to be offended.
hahaha i HATE when people ask me how many hours we should count for a morning. i just count from the time "hey i think im going out in service"....thats how i make my time.
i count time when i sleep cause sometimes i have dreams about going out in service.
I start counting my time by calling Verizon Customer Service and preach to them for a couple of minutes as Im running late... its great, works all the time
Me & my sis-in-law rented this movie (just recently) called "Because I Said So" with Diane Keaton & Mandy Moore. And it was one of THEEE WORST movies I've seen in a long time. Ugh, it was tortuous. I would never go to see a movie like that in the theater, but i thought it might be cute....yea, it wasnt, it was dumb, through and through.
i agree. my mom and i saw it and diane keaton was the MOST annoying person ever.
my mom said they rented it and turned it off after 15 minutes cuz it was just so bad
Diane Keaton. Why does she feel like she needs to wear 20 articles of clothing at a time? What's with older women and over-accessorizing?
I was forced to watch this movie...and I agree, this is the worst movie ever made.
Forced?? You know you could have just gotten up and left...
haha, it was definitely forced...when your wife wants you to watch it with her.
i totally agree! this movie was HORRIBLE!!!!their discussions! like when diane keaton asked mandy moore about sex. and the reason she knew she was with the wrong man: she burnt the souffle. i do say this all the time now. "you guys are meant to be? well have you burnt a souffle recently?"
