interestingly though italy didn't score on that power play. but i think it's so dumb to say italy is a better team simply because one penality kick was missed. its so cheap. goalies can't do anything at all during those penality kicks

oh, I know, dude, I was just totally joking. Italy was WORN OUT. Penalty goals--that's so gay. I hate that crap. They shouldn't decide by that. It's pure chance. The weaker team won this year's world cup. France was STRONG the ENTIRE game. Yes, I was routing(sp?) for Italy, but I admit the better team was France.
Actually not the entire game. Did none of you watch the first half. Italy totally dominated the entire first half. Had a whole bunch of really close good scoring chances. It was only the second half where Frances started playing and ya know with the whole Zidane incident in my mind France deserved to lose.

LOL. Lets see you try and run around for half that time and see how long you last. These guys are some of the best athletes in the world when it comes to stamina but the human body can only last so long. :-p

now it makes subsititution moves and the physical fitness and endurance of a player even more critical.

For being such a soccer fan, I thought you would of realized that there is a substitution limit (3 per game)
though i am not advocating for pks, because it makes the rest of the game feel like a waiste, but someone has to win

The word is that what ticked Zadaine off was a comment the italian player made. He called him a dirty terriost. Zadine is of algerian backgound and he moved to france with his parents when he was very young. Still though hes gotta use his head no pun intended in a mental way and realize its the fraking world cup finals. If zaaine didnt get red carded they would of won. I have a few problems with soccer and one the problems involve the world cup. Number 1 Ok in soccer they take more dives than hockey players I see so much acting on the soccer field portugal was notorious for it this year especially in the england game.
They get carried off on a strecher and is playing 5 minutes later. We would neevr see that in american football which is way dirtier and they hit way harder. Have you ever heard of a soccer player getting paralyzed I think not.
I mean for Example in the England Portugal game, Rooney from England got a red card for stepping on Rinaldo From Portugal. Weather it was on purpose or not is debatable I belive it was incidental contact, but Rinaldo was rolling around on the ground like he just found out he couldnt continue his family blood line. Then no more than 1 minute later hes seducing the umpire for a red card. What acting it deserved an osacr. The english hold the portugese to no goals with 9 guys and they lose on penalty kicks . That was worse than a predictable M knight ending.
They have to come up with a rule were if you fall down claiming injury you have to be out a ceratin amount of time.
Number 2 to decide the finals on penalty kicks is ballocks or any world cup game in the elimination round for that matter. Could you imagine if the stanley cup was decided on penatly shots please fix this FIFA.
For a team to lose on penatly kicks after a great defensive effort makes the game they played before hand meaningless. I say they play till someone scores and thats that. I dont care if they play three hours its be done before in other sports somesones gonna tap out and the otehr team will take advantage.
I mean Please fix these problems, if they cant fix then have a penalty box like hockey. That way thier would be penalty for rough play and diving o fake an injurt or foul.
And Penalty Kicks to decided a game in a playoff format please make it stop.

Getting rid of the Penalty Kicks would mean a bigger change.
They should have more subs and those that go out should be able to come in. They have to have a third intermission, it has to be as long as the second one because by that time they would have been running around for over 75 minutes from the beginning of the second half. I dont know exactly how they should do it without the penalty kicks, but I think anyone running around for over 120 minutes can get a bit tiring... what do you think?

All of this is just speculation, there is no way to know for sure what was said and regardless it's still no reason to head butt a guy in the chest regardless of what was said.
There are actually penalties for taking a dive but the refs very rarely give them out.
I agree thats no reason to headbut anyone, and the French demanding a fifa investagation into the matter is a joke in itself.
The refs never give them out the diving penalties and they should.
The Penalty kicks gotta go in chmapionship games. I dont care if they run around for 180 minutes beacuse I have seen hokcey games go 100 minutes and thats alot more physially demanding and its on ice.
If they want soccer to blow up in the usa thats some changes they should make . Soccer for years has been trying to crack the usa market and never has. And when I say crack the market I mean crack the four major sports. THey have always desired that.
