the original is always better than the cover. Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. the ataris themselves know their version is just a bastardized record company ploy and they're skulking all the way to the bank.

Not always true. Ataris version is better. Blink 182 does a heck of a lot better Dancing With Myself than Billy Idol. And New Found Glory's version of the Titanic song sure beats Celine Dion's.
