by i found these mints today called Zox
they are sugar free, with no aspartame or sacharin, and they're suposed to be the best breath fresheners EVER
so i tried them
and they are INSANE
seriously it tastes like I just got a dentist cleaning, and it's been like 2 hours and it still feels like that
suposedly the ingredients in these minties neutralize the odor-causing bacteria in your mouth instead of coveing it up with sugary flavors that just make your breath worse
i duno, it's worth a try I guess, if you like that fresh from the dentist feeling

I just read this and thought, hmmm...now here is a journal for me. Then I saw my name mentioned. So I must comment. The bad breath odor does come from the bacteria in your mouth (namely the ones that reside on the back of the tongue.) It's hard to get rid of them, even with a tongue scraper. The idea behind these mints make complete sense to me. I'll have to give 'em a whirl.
