Isn't rationizing when you make excuses for taking a course of action, meaning its not based on fact?
And justification involves facts somehow, right?

according to the dictionary they are synonymous. they are similar in meaning just used in different contexts.

isnt to rationalize to try to convince something is one way when ur conscience knows its another way? and justification, trying to prove something is right
