On My New Jacket
I don't like jackets. I am more of a hoodie girl. For the longest time, I didn't even own a jacket for school. I had one for the meetings but for school, I would only wear hoodies. So this year, my mom decides that I need a jacket and takes me to the store and buys me this really cool black one. I hearted it. I wore it like every day and at first I felt all funny but then I got used to it and some what attached.
So, on Monday, I go to the mall and I'm shopping and such. I go to PacSun to buy some clothes and say hi to every one. I take off my pretty jacket to try on an even prettier sweater. I end up leaving my jacket on the rounder! I leave the store and then go to put on my jacket and find that it is not with me. I call the store and Twinkie is all "um.. i don't see it here". I race back and my jacket is GONE! Eric (the mean and somewhat gay manager) starts laughing at me and is all "yea some one stole it! haha" (i do NOT heart him!). I go home practically in tears. I explain to my mom what happens and she gives me her credit card and says "so go buy another coat". WHAT IS THAT?! How can I just buy a new coat?!? It was my first, my only, my FAVORITE! coat!! How can you just replace it?!
So any ways, I go to JC Penny (they are having like this crazy 70% sale haha) and I find this somewhat OK coat. Its totally not Melodyish... and that makes me sad. Its light brown cordoroy with fuzzy sleaves and collar. Its got lots of fun pockets which is the only up side... I am wearing it now and it is MAD warm... but its just not Melody! It came out to be only $25 so I suppose if I really don't like it, its not big deal... but alas, here I sit in my non-Melody coat...

thaz what i'm here for!
my daughter hates jackets too....i dont get it. why be cold when i'm will to spend money to buy her a perfectly good jacket?
and boots too?
haha jackets are so stupid! you're daughter is smart!
Boots, however, I have one pair that I love... but I won't buy any thing else and every pair I buy must look exactly like the ones I already have hahaha
I've wanted a Betsey Johnson Rug jacket with faux-fur lining for years. They're like $300 so..one day I shall have one.
Betsy Johnson rocks. She has an outlet at Woodbury Commons, I shall too own some of her stuff to one day.
there's a betsy johnson shop in the plaza. in high school my girlfriend interned for betsy-she said she was the coolest. she always gave her free clothes too.
is that the Woddbury Commons on LI? Cause i think theres one in NJ,,,,,,
no its the outlet one in ny state - I would love to work for betsy johnson - her stuff is amazing
Actually, my sister worked for Betsey Johnson for well over a year so we both have an adequate supply of dresses. She would just win free dresses for selling a lot or they would just give them to her. It was great. And she got 75% off so I should have gotten my beloved jacket then but at the time I was dumb and wouldn't have worn it since it's a bit out-landish. Now I've gone insane and want one badly.
don't you hate when an article of clothing ends up haunting you because you didn't Carpe Diem - there was this ultra rad duffel bag I saw - SO cute - and i didn't get it. Im bagless... upsetting. ;-)
Aw that makes me sad for you. I almost did that because I wanted this real expensive Abercrombie bag but I knew it was absurd buying it..but I did anyways.
yeah but you know what's equally bad?? when you buy something cuz you think you're gonna love it and then when you get home, you hate it and never use it.
what kind of shopper seriously steals a coat somebody left in a store.
i think a pacsun employee took it.
i lost an earring in a store, came back a few minutes later and asked the sales woman, she had found it and left it by the register, so we walk over to the register and it was GONE! some loser took it I hope they choked on it lol. my mother in law had just given them to me that day and they were heirlooms....
people will steal anything playa
some people stole the salt shaker from my work. they were intricate and all, but just the salt shaker. my manager was so mad cuz there had been a perfect number and now they were all uneven. so stupid.
well the thing was, the DM was there and only managers were working.. so unless one of them took it (which makes no sense because they are all pretty big guys and i am quite a small girl) it was totally a customer...
I know the big cheeses at PacSun, want me to get him fired??? Poor thing!!!
A new one cannot replace the one you love!
Unless we're talking about boys here..
you know what. this is v. true. you know when your friends break up with someone they really like? it helps to say "nothing helps you get over the last one like the next one"
that is SO true, when you're talking about love, but i'm SUCH the clothing queen that i was thinking about the total loss of piece of clothing you totally love and the devastating feeling =)
haha well Eric is leaving in March any ways... good ridence, i do not heart that man
I had a favorite spring jacket I bought from the Gap...it was perfect, though I somehow managed to lose it. I think I may have left it at a friends house and they neglected to tell me. Anyhow, I feel your pain. A perfect coat/jacket is hard to find.
sorry to hear that. i'm not huge on coats either. i just bought one tho. a big warm nice one. only thing is it's a lil too warm. i love this weather and i can't even feel it. also theres a velcro zipper cover that i don't usually close up to the top and the velcro scrapes my face. sooo annoying.
maybe the sorta gay manager took it... hmmm something to ponder.
But seriously I understand the jacket thing. I do not heart wearing jackets either, very annoying. I heart hoodies too. My mom and I used to argue to over wearing a coat - so I moved out. Lol...
THANK YOU! Jackets are so useless when you have a hoodie...
I love my leather jacket, I wish that ididnt break the zipper on it, i might get a new one next year, but it was my first one and it was GREAT to have in the wind.
