Vitamins

katiedid by katiedid · Feb 10, 2004 · 243 views · Journal

So I was thinking that I should probably start taking a multivitamin but I'm not sure which ones. I've seen ones specially for women. Are those good or are regular just as good?

i would suggest just making sure that the company that you get it from is good, and they are using natural products.

socalgal #2 socalgalOG 2003

socalgal socalgalOG 2003 tinser

magnum #3 magnumOG 2001

yeah i take vitamins, they may be for women because i want a woman? hmm

modestjesse #4 modestjesseOG 2004

I never remember to take my multi. You think I'd remember to take them if I took Ginko? But how would I remember to take that?

tinser #5 tinserOG 2002

i suggest getting packets of all the different vitamins instead of one vitamin that contains all the vitamins needed. The ones that have it all in one capsule are impossible to swallow. I gag it down and tear up every time i try...its torture

doublehelix #6 doublehelixOG 2004

bah, you could take those pills and get hit in the head by a flying squirrel and then where would you be?

starshiptrooper #7 starshiptrooperOG 2003

try ACHEIVE active lifestyle by CVS.
It has everything but the kitchen sink in it (old phrase)

rocksupastar #7.1 rocksupastarFounder

i have never heard that before.... whats it from?

juicymango #8 juicymangoOG 2003

I've heard that big multivitamin companies like Centrum and such spend way too much time and money on their advertising and packaging and not as much as they should on the actual vitamins themselves. Supposedly there are a lot of additives in the Centrum and other mass-produced big company vitamins. I guess you get what you pay for?

I am taking a multivitamin now that has vitamins, minerals, herbs, and calcium, because i do not get much calcium otehrwise, i needed a vitamin that would provide enough of it. I take it twice daily, its especialy for woman. On top of that I am also taking whats called flaxseed oil, tasted much like codliver oil. its not that bad, and for every 100 Ib,s you take a tsp. I take it daily, it has all your Omega 3's that your body lacks, but needs, and is good for the skin and over all body health, i have been taking it, and i have to say i do notice a difference. I also take extra vitamin c seperatly through out the day, mostly cause i like how it tastes, ha ha.

malibu #9.1 malibuOG 2001

isn't vitamin c majorily in orange juice?

skaorsk8 #9.1.1 skaorsk8OG 2002

there's really not that much in there. it's been heavily processed. that's like saying "there's a lot of calcium in milk". not really.

tinser #9.1.1.1 tinserOG 2002

it's true...but it's better then not drinking it at all. Then again, with all the sugar that's added, you're better off with water and a vitamin anyday

Take: Source Natural
Life Force MultiVitamin
It's only 2 a day and has everything you need. Some multis are not all they are cracked up to be, but that one is the best. I worked in a health food store for 7 years...

The One A Day Women's are really good...they work well.
