A great day at the assembly
by Oh man O just had a horrible day. I had my circuit assembly this weekend which is normally great. First of all last nite I couldn't sleep and got to sleep finally around 2:00 or 2:30am then I had to get up at 5:00 and get my stuff together for the assembly and get dressed. So I get to the assembly and I'm running from one assignment to another pretty much all day then fighting so hard to stay awake at my seat during the program. So then I was put in charge of my congregations cleaning assignment so I had to wait and make sure it was all cleaned then wait for it to be inspected. So I finally get that done and the program ended at 3:55 and now it's 5:15. So I get the brother to inspect it then head over to where my I was supposed to meet me well he isn't there. So I go out to the parking lot and his car is gone. There is almost noone left there but a few people and the caretakers. I was so upset here I am stuck at the assembly hall with noway to get home. It's a good thing I know one of the caretakers so I went and told hime and his girlfriend I've known for years and it turns out her family is staying there and they are cooking dinner. Her family doesn't live that far from me so they said they would take me home but I was stuck there till after we ate. The part that stinks is it was so hot in there and I was running around like crazy cleaning that I was all sweety and gross and just wanted to come home and take a shower. Anyway so I finally got home at 8:30. Now I have to get my stuff ready for tomorrow and I'm driving back up there with the brother that left me there. What a wonderful day.

you poor thing! were you even able to pay attention to the session? I had speacial day today and i only had 2 hours sleep nad i was SO exhausted....so in a way i know how you feel. =(

we have ours in norco. i heard they'er selling woodland hills and the ones from Ventura & Santa Varbar all have to head out to Mira Loma. Do you have yours in Woodland hills or mira loma?

i know of days like this. we recently had our convention switched from the vet to the liacoras center and forgot i had volunteered to do parking. so i'm dead tired from work and so forth, i get up extra early, pick up a pal, head to convention hall that i've never been to before, find the parking lot duty table where you get your assignment, stand on a corner with a yellow sign with a pointer on it in the middle of this ghetto area for two hours in the heat, waving to people i know as they laugh at me, finally the program starts and i go in and my peoples didn't snag me a seat! so i'm sitting by myself, super-tired, sweaty, the this is just the beginning of the first talk.
and i just signed up to do it again this year!
i know this has to be said...but....that definitely counts as "storing up treasures in heaven"...

yea... i was all confused cuz i didn't know that you guys announced the hall name... we SO don't do that at mine.. and the brothers like... "only step forward when your hall is called" and i was so confused... and then i had to leave after Jodie went, and couldn't get back up front when they called Wall so i missed Vanessa and it was just a big mess haha
ya i know, ,they just started doing that about 2 or so years ago, it is different but its nice, cause people dont push you and get mean, its happened, its pathetic

how many were baptized at yours? I was shocked to see only 3 got baptized at mine, and we usually have more than 20....strange
Amazingly we had 32 baptised. 19 sisters and 13 brothers. That's the most we have had in a while. Though they were saying that there have been a lot of people baptised lately. There was eveon one that had 40 a couple of weeks ago. We had 19 sisters and 13 brothers baptised.
yeah, we did have alot compared to previuos years, it was nice to see!

Yeah he sure did. His talks were amazing and I was sitting front and center for them it was great.
The symposium "Bear Fruit with Endurance" was great. I really enjoyed the third part "By avoiding unnecessary anxiety" there were so many good points that were brought out on that part.

i keep forgetting you moved to spring lake. i was like 'why would she be at our assembly' haha. yeah, he gave some excellent talks. the D.O. did too
